A very nice and interestingly built place. A little far to walk to White Beach and the tuktuk drivers really gouge you to make that short trip. 200 pesos is pretty ridiculous when you can ride all the way out to that area for 150 pesos from Poblacion Puerto Galera. We enjoyed the room, the pool and the view. The breakfast was below standard. They had a large group in that morning so their staff seemed a bit busy. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in all other areas. We would definitely stay there again.

Massive room to improve
I stayed in AV suites for 5 nights last week and normally I don’t leave reviews but I hope for the owners reading it as there are few things that they need to address. And I spent 20+K for my stay that should have been so much better so here it is
It seems the only thing that is good about AV is location and views which is why I booked it, I stayed in Premium room and had to move one night earlier leaving the room I payed for to the only rooms that you can actually have some privacy., downgrading..All rooms located in a building are built like a dorm with doors coming to reception and restaurant, there is ZERO sound isolation, you hear everything like there are no doors, reception talking, receiving texts, kitchen cooking, people eating, talking, moving-everything!
Now- two Premium rooms they have are built right next to Family rooms with 6 plus PAX allowed in one..when you build a premium, most expensive room next to a Family room first thing you should think is the right doors when building it!When resort is empty it’s ok, but when it gets full with 6 people with toddlers next door (my case) it’s absolutely impossible to enjoy your Premium room you payed for seeking better experience -as all the noise is there in your room.it’s absolutely insane!
I had to move to the only quiet rooms they had that are not in a main building, the cheapest rooms just to be able to sleep and finally have some privacy..
Another thing that is absolutely needs to be addressed is food. It is bad. And when the resort is quite away from everything this is a big issue. If you don’t want to take tricycle in the evening and just want to rest after day out- bummer for you, the food was so bad that the next day I did not have any dinner as was way too tired to ride tricycle anywhere else to eat and could not eat another bad meal..
I had to leave and eat every day in Infinity resort so I leave management to count FnB loss from one guest and I’m sure there were many other guests that did not eat in AV for the same reason.
Another thing that does not help the property that they don’t have manager on site, reception girls have to call the “ boss” for everything..
Bottom line is promoting their “instagramable” views should come along with correct approach to hospitality.
Fix your doors, fix your food, put a manager on site to control the quality. It’s that simple.

We stayed for two nights at AV Suites. The staff were very friendly, the view from our room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.
However, we experienced an issue with the bathroom, as there appeared to be a leak and the floor was constantly wet. We hope this can be addressed and fixed soon.

I wasn’t able to take much pictures but I love this place. I appreciate how peaceful the place is and it is near Aninuan beach which was not crowded too, it sometimes feel like I’m alone in the beach. It was such a vibe that i totally dig!

Instagrammable isn’t embodiable – and service is more than a smile.
As an author and conscious traveler, I rate spaces beyond the glossy frame. AV Suites looks stunning on first sight – and in photos, it does shine. But presence lives in details, and that’s where the story changed.
Loved:
– Spacious suite (72 m²) with ocean view – beautiful layout & cool material mix
– Comfortable bed, cozy enough for deep sleep
– Water kettle and mini-fridge provided
– Helpful in arranging transport when I needed to leave quickly
Could improve:
– Communication: no notice before cutting water & power for hours (daily)
– Brown bath water & a tub that didn’t invite me in
– Missing mindful touches: no bath amenities beyond basics, no hooks, restaurant felt soulless
– Infinity pool under “renovation” – yet guests still used it (a contradiction)
– Breakfast offer promised as compensation – but fully charged at checkout
– Strict rules about outside food, even with limited dining vibe
– And the hardest truth: after a typhoon warning forced an early exit, zero flexibility on refund for 3 unused nights (≈170 €). A choice that speaks louder than any Instagram post.
✨ Final note:
Luxury without integrity is just decor. AV Suites could rise into its own promise, but first – it needs to embody the service it promotes.

However, due to the bad weather, we decided against the closure. The issue of dark water from the faucets was, unfortunately, a direct result of the weather, which impacted the water supply not just for our hotel but for residents across Puerto Galera. We understand how frustrating this must have been, and we truly regret it.
Regarding your refund request, we want to clarify the process. Your payment was handled directly by Booking.com, which is why we advised you to contact their customer service team. We are unable to issue refunds directly as they must be processed through the platform where the booking was made. We want to assure you that we have approved other refund requests from guests with the same circumstances as yours as soon as they were submitted to us. We are confused as to why we haven't received a request from them for your stay.
