Charming but bittersweet getaway

It is a fantastic place to relax. However, I had a small incident, not fixed yet. Booking on their website, I was charged 24 euros for breakfast, in total 48 euros. When breakfast is worth 12 euros per person and is quite fair. Well I have claimed several times and I still wait, they answer that it has already been done, but I still do not get the difference charged. It's not about the money anymore, it's about claiming what's mine, and who knows if it's bigger amounts what happens.

Authentic, with close sea.A good stay.

Stayed at the end of November 2024.
Very pretty outdoor farmhouse, small pool , garden inviting relaxation. When you get inside, you feel "a soul." Our room was nice, clean, good bedding; small downside, the bathroom is very small with toilet, sink, shower;
During our 3 night stay no nuisance.
There is a good quality snack.Heavy breakfast with sweet or savory or vegan choice.
Very pleasant staff, considerate, smiling and making efforts to understand our bad Spanish.Special mention to Victor , thank you again.

Outrageous

We had booked a room at the Hotel La Mer through Booking from May 8th to May 12th, 2024. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed because this alleged 4-star hotel did not meet the criteria described on the homepage and on Booking.
- The room was not cleaned because there was supposedly only one room key.
- No restaurant available
- At 10 p.m. we were forced to leave the garden because everything was locked and there was no way to reach our room from the garden. We therefore only had the option of going into the room or leaving the house.
- Locking the entrance door blocks an important escape route in an emergency.
- The back entrance is irresponsible and dangerous due to the structural condition, especially in the dark.
Unfortunately, two attempts to have a clarifying conversation with the owner were impossible because he did not show up despite two appointments made by an employee. All of this completely spoiled our vacation enjoyment, so we left a day early. We requested a refund of EUR 170.00 for one night's accommodation including breakfast in writing, but we received no response to that either.

DO NOT GO HERE

Do not go to this hotel, the owners are so rude and they are not nice. Spend your money in other places rather than this one. It is a horrible place to stay due to their owners. There are a lot of bad comments and reviews for something. People need good treatment!
