Heaven in Hellin

Motorcycle Trips for Mortals: Part of my Spanish tour brought me to this lovely location. It's away from the town and down a quiet side road. The interior is fabulous and the rooms are so well furnished and decorated. The proprietor and his wife run the place with such a passion for quality in every respect. It was an amazing find. Peaceful with views across the barren landscape to distant hills. Breakfast was lovely and set me up for the day. The hotel is located between Albacete and Tabernas in Almeria which both have motor racing circuits worth a visit. So it's a great stopover for touring this region. Can't praise the place highly enough.

Unique And Superb By Canadian Standards!

In driving from Granada to Valencia, we decide to split our trip into two days and spend the night in Hellin ( roughly mid-point).
Using TripAdvisor, we chose the Hotel BellaHellin based on the amenities and services offered at the complex.
The hotel is located roughly 2 km from Hellin and along a paved highway. The hotel itself is located several hundred meters off the highway and in a small valley. There is a hotel sign along the highway.
The two story structure is quite new and very clean. Our room ( each couple had their own room) was quite large, (with a king bed) as was the bathroom. Our room had Infloor heating and an air conditioning/cooling unit.
The hotel location made for a very peaceful and enjoyable night. The hotel owners - Gregorio and Susanna were very gracious hosts and provided us with a home-cooked supper (i.e. beef steak and potatoes along with several appetizers and bread and dessert) as well as breakfast (included in the cost of the room)the next morning. Gregorio also recommended a local organic vino tinto which was very good.
Our one night stay along with supper (including two bottles of wine) and breakfast worked out to $285.00 Euros for four people, which was an unbelievable cost by any standard, and very good by Canadian standards.
Highly recommended!

Just keeps getting better

This is the 3rd time Rob and I have visited Hotel Bella Hellin and it just gets better and better. Gregorio and Susanna are now firm friends and treat us like family. Their Restaurant is outstanding with everything cooked fresh to order. All the food is organic and home grown. The meat is hand reared and presented like a Michelin star restaurant. The rooms are extremely well appointed and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Hotel Bella Hellin for that special treat. You won't be disappointed. Suzan Los Alcazares

Had to leave after 1 night

Booked after checking reviews as everyone said a peaceful location . The bedroom had the wow factor but that’s all .The food wasn’t at all like the pictures the steak was poorly cooked and only had a few sautéed potatoes nothing else . On the Saturday there was a party so we couldn’t get anything to eat or drink and the noise was terrible the speaker was outside so no chance of any sleep as it was to go on very late . We called it quits and left as there wasn’t any chance of sleep so we may as well come home . Another big dissapointment was there was no where outside to sit . To add insult to injury I have just had a email saying Bella Hellen have said i was a no show when I have just paid him .
