Highly recommended

The hotel is beautifully situated off the beaten track overlooking a lake (actually, a reservoir). The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - full marks there - and the hotel itself is comfortable and impeccably clean. And all for a very reasonable price (including a generous breakfast). It's highly recommended - the excellent reviews are fully justified!

A Delightful Stopover

We selected the Hotel Hermida Rural as a well-located stopover on our way to Portugal on a motoring holiday. We were not disappointed. The Hotel is modern and while quite remote, easy to find and situated in glorious countryside. Although we were late season visitors we were made most welcome. Our room was comfortable and equipped with all facilities. Although the Hotel does not provide a full dinner menu, which some may find a disadvantage, the tapas, snack menu and excellent bar facilities more than made up for this and we certainly didn't go to bed feeling hungry. The breakfast the following morning was first rate.
Finally the bill was a pleasant surprise - would such value be available in the UK. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, calm, well-prized, absolutely recommended

The location is gorgeously situated in between Hermida, a tiny village, and a lake - which one can gaze at from the rooms, the restaurant and the terrace. The staff is very friendly, competent and courteous, and thus adds to the overall warm atmosphere of the hotel. Among other things delicious wines and tapas are served; for me (as a vegan and therefore rather complicated case) dinner as well as breakfast were adjusted to "special needs" thoroughly. I am very happy having found this place and would seriously always return.

Incredible Value. Wonderful Hosts. Peaceful Beautiful Location. Great Cycling.

After booking for three days, we loved it so much we stayed for six.
Family run hotel with personal service.
We chose this hotel as it looked modern and spotless - and it was.
The terrace bar served great light snacks and perfect cocktails and beers - all very reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was included in our rate, and was great value.
We used this area as a cycling base, and the roads and climbs were great - very little traffic, spectacular roads and climbs. It was so good - I don't really want to tell too many people!

Wonderful place for a cycling holiday

Hermida Rural was easily the nicest hotel that we stayed in Spain, we liked it so much we extended our stay.
The hotel is family owned and the service is fantastic. The rooms are high quality and spotlessly clean, free wifi is a bonus, continental breakfast is included and the terrace bar overlooking the lake serves the best G&T's and light meals. The location is peaceful and beautiful.
We thought Hermida Rural was fantastic value.
We were cycling in Spain for 4 months and this location was one of our favourite places for riding, with quiet roads and stunning climbs in the O Courel/Os Ancares mountains.
We would recomend Hermida Rural to anyone but cyclists in particular will love this beautiful place.
