A quiet and clean place to rest.

The rooms are very clean and the bathroom spacious and clean too.
The menu is excellent and reasonable. They are very friendly and the value for money is very good.

Good accommodation, but staff & meals lacking

Checked in after walking 23 km on the El Camino at 2:30 pm. Not so pleasant staff, but that’s ok I suppose- even though hey do work in the “hospitality” industry
Room was clean and appointed with towels, soap, shampoo, etc. extra blankets in closet. Showers were good and clean.
Pilgrim dinner was a lacking and this is where the rating took a hit. Choice of meal was very limited (compared with other hostels and albergues). Canned soup and frozen fillets yielded a low quality meal - which is kind of expected for a pilgrim meal. BUT this was the most expensive pilgrim meal (€15) we’d had thus far, despite being the worst. All other meals had been €12-13.
No breakfast offered, so we’ll likely walk 6 km to Melide for breakfast.
Overall. The staff kind of make you feel unwelcome and an inconvenience for being there.

Loose

It is a hotel/hostel that is in the area of the Camino de Santiago, the location is not very good.
We arrived and they did not have much variety in the meals, there is no dinner or breakfast service.
I recommend looking for another site.

Not a good experience

Unlike some aubergues which are not open during the day, where there are notices saying when they will be open, this was not the case when we arrived here. The building was shut up and appeared to have closed down. This was the case until the late afteroon (see below). When we were able to attract the attention of the owner/staff we were allowed into the bedroom which was clean and comfortable but smelled strongly of bleach. The bar/restaurant opened in the evening but the food can only be described as just about adequate. We had been booked for bed and breakfast but were told that breakfast was not provided as the pension did not open until 10am and it was expected that anyone statying would have left. The attitude of the owner/staff was completely unwelcoming, Out of 12 overnight stays whlist walking the Comino, this was the only one where we did not receive a warm welcome.

Friendly, family run, hotel.

My fiance and I stayed during our camino de santiago pilgrimage. The welcome was warm though little English was spoken... but we were in Spain so fair enough. This didn't stop them from being friendly and doing their best to communicate. The room was large, containing a large bed, sofa and coffee table. The bathroom had sink, toilet and bath/shower. Notably absent was air con and wifi. Dinner was lovely and the homemade dessert was amazing!
