Excellent stay
Very enjoyable stay here (four nights) in a room with a beautiful sea view. Excellent, friendly staff. Very good breakfast on the top floor - Attico restaurant; not included in the price but good value. The restaurant is also open for lunch and evening meals. It's only a short stroll to reach the port and there are lots of bars/restaurants close by. The old town centre is certainly worth exploring and is easily reached on foot (15/20 minutes) or there's a local hourly bus. L'Arenal is approximately 30 minutes walk away, with a sandy beach. Surprised it's only listed as a two star. Would definitely recommend and would like to return in the future.

Excellent essential
Very good Price quality ratio. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel is very well located near the port of Javea. The rooms are clean, spacious with air conditioning and safe. We sincerely recommend it.

Delicious Breakfast!!
Fabulous breakfast!
We have just had a delicious breakfast at the Jávea Hotel Restaurant OMG delicious bacon, sausages, however you want your eggs, baked beans, hp sauce, juices, coffee, tea and toast for only 8.50€ per person!!! Excellent service and happy staff

Soulless and lifeless with zero customer hospitality and service - awful. Dreadful!
Although a nice building and (although dated) decore in a quiet area: Neglecting even basic needs, staff and manager have no interest in you as a person and paying customer. No welcome on check-in, just expect "Passport" on arrival after a long trip to get there. Not that I did, but lose your plastic room key - 5 Euros. Try asking for tap water (its drinkable), after your 3hour trip to get there, which suddenly gets lost in translation to 'here's a bottle which will cost you 3Euros' - take it or leave it. Penny pinching mentality. The bar was shut during the duration of my stay (as others have noted) not that you would want to drink in there anyway. It was so bad I didn't even bother going to the restaurant - it was just a very expensive bed for me.

Dear Steve B, we receive many guests in our small hotel and have to deal with all sort of guests, but you have been able to manage yourself as being the most impolite, rut and less desired guest of all time. Screaming and shouting at the staff and making obscure signals with your hands when they try to explain you that obviously tap water is free and the bottled water you have to pay, nothing lost in translation but by your rude attitude. The bar in the lobby is indeed closed, but therefore you can use the bar in the restaurant on the fifth floor with panoramic views. We sincerely hope that you will not be visiting again as we will have to deny you access to the Hotel Javea. Hasta nunca! Hotel Javea

Terrible noise from restaurant above
Booked sea view room. Hotel is OK but our room was on 4th floor (only level with an actual sea view) with small balcony. Everything was OK apart from the noise from restaurant above. The constant scraping of tables and chairs from above was infuriating, and the shrieking from guests waiting for the lift carried all the way down to our room. Although restaurant says it closes at 22:00 the resetting can go on until nearly midnight. The added insult was trying out the restaurant - diabolical low grade food. How you can serve a good fish with a thick, greasy “cheddar sauce” is a crime.
