Summer vacation with a relaxation guarantee.
We spent two wonderful weeks here in the summer and felt very comfortable. The landlords were very nice, warm, and helpful. The vacation apartment was clean and cozy, the view from the balcony simply dreamlike. The village is also quiet, idyllic, and very beautifully situated. From there, you can do a lot or quickly reach places for hiking and swimming by car – the region is very versatile and does not get boring. We had a relaxing time and can absolutely recommend the vacation apartment!

Landhaus Mitsche - pure relaxation -
The country house is located in Radnig, about 2.5 km from Hermagor, at the foot of the two mountains Gols and Spitzegel.
Idyllically located in a quiet cul-de-sac, the house sits on a hillside plot with a fantastic view of the Gailtal and the neighboring mountains, behind which Italy is hidden.
Even the Nassfeld can be seen well from there.
We, 2 families with 4 adults, a child and a dog, rented 2 apartments in the Landhaus Mitsche.
The apartments are amazingly spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need for life. In the kitchens we found enough dishes, pots, pans and even a fully automatic coffee machine.
What more could you want?
All apartments have balconies, from which you can fully enjoy the mountain panorama on warm nights.
In the apartment itself there was a flat screen TV (who wants that on vacation ), but also board games, a small book corner and enough information material in the entrance to plan your activities in a targeted manner.
But you can always rely on the friendly landlords Gabi and Vikor Mitsche, who can recommend either great tours or the latest events in the region. You can also come to them at any time with small and large requests, because customer satisfaction is a BIG priority at Landhaus Mitsche. They are available at any time and help with advice and practical help.
We can only recommend the area around the house for children and dog owners. In 2 minutes you can be in the Radnig forest for a walk or you can take a long walk to the waterfall, then through the Gösseringgraben and back to Radnig via Hermagor. Pure nature and relaxation.
For the children there is a natural swimming pool within walking distance, with a deep pool, children's and baby pool.
And if you're into action-packed holidays, you can take the lift to Nassfeld and use the summer toboggan run, the alpine swing, the rock climbing garden, or or or...
The country house is ideally located as a starting point for long and short hikes, as you can either enjoy the mountains on site or be in Italy and Slovenia in a short time.
For us, 2 weeks were not enough to get to know everything.
That's why we'll come back next year and stay for 3 weeks.
We're looking forward to Carinthia, Radnig and the warmth of the landlords.
But we already know that this time will not be enough.

Amazing views in a wonderful apartment
The apartment was wonderful and so were the hosts, Radnig is a beautiful and peaceful and we will definitely stay here again.
The apartment was clean and well equipped, and just two minutes drive from Hermagor.

A very nice holiday in great surroundings
The holiday home is located in the small, dreamy village of Radnig, just 2.5 km from the town of Hermagor.
It consists of 3 comfortable apartments for 2 - 8 people with a wonderful panoramic view of the Carnic Alps.
We traveled as a family of five.
The rooms in our apartment were clean and furnished with every comfort. Our apartment was equipped with two showers, a toilet, three bedrooms and a living room with a modern kitchen. The kitchen contained all the necessary utensils.
A special plus is the coffee machine for whole beans for the discerning coffee connoisseur.
The Mitsche family is always on hand to offer advice and assistance.
Whether interesting tips for hikes and excursions or the washing machine provided. Simply great.
There are many good restaurants in nearby Hermagor and the surrounding area.
Unfortunately, most restaurants only serve hot meals until 8 p.m. The exception here is the Seewirt "Beim Alois" on Lake Pressegger, which has excellent cuisine. Hot meals are served here until 9 p.m.
You can also eat very well at the Klammwirt (Garntizenklamm), but the kitchen is only open until 6 p.m.
We also recommend the Gasthof Waldemar with its good Austrian cuisine.
A good alternative is the Italian cuisine, which is within easy reach. We were able to enjoy this on our trip to Grado.
There are a huge number of leisure activities on offer.
From easy hikes to challenging mountain tours, there is something for everyone. There are numerous options, for example at the Pressegersee or on the Nassfeld. A trip by train (the fare is now included in the basic guest card) to Villach is also recommended. A canoe tour on the Drau or the Gail is also great.
All in all, a successful vacation. We will be back!

Not as expected!
Positive:
- Washing machine, but €5 for the dryer
- Fully automatic coffee machine with beans (buy beans yourself)
- Well-equipped kitchen (except for the dishes)
- Very clean and spacious
Negative:
- Unfortunately, privacy was not respected, as people were lurking during any activity in the yard or you were questioned persistently
- Unfortunately not dog-friendly, as the dog was not allowed to do its business in the surrounding meadows (but the landlady's dog was)
- Be careful of dogs running around without owners who attack other dogs! According to the landlady, that's just the way it is
- Cheeky comments, e.g. a convertible is not a car for the mountains
- The holiday apartment has 7 beds, so it is designed for 7 people. Unfortunately, there are no dishes for 7 people
- According to a local who has moved here, Germans are welcome, but only tolerated
- The parking spaces available to guests are used privately and are therefore often blocked
- Bad WiFi
- No seating in the living room

Bezüglich der Parkplatzsituation bedauern wir die Verwirrung, die dies verursacht hat. Unsere Parkplätze (5 vor dem Haus, 3 neben der Buchenhecke) sind begrenzt, aber wir sind bestrebt, diese fair unter unseren Besuchern und Gästen zu verteilen. Um zukünftige Unklarheiten zu vermeiden, werden wir auf unserer Webseite klarstellen, dass jeder Wohnung ein garantierter Parkplatz vor dem Haus zur Verfügung steht und zusätzliche Parkplätze je nach Verfügbarkeit genutzt werden können. Bisher hatten wir immer ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten für alle Gäste.
Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis, dass die Wiese hinter unserem Haus nicht für Hunde genutzt werden kann, da das Gras als Futter für die Milchkühe und Kälber des Bauern dient. Wir empfehlen stattdessen die angrenzenden Feld- oder Waldwege für die Bedürfnisse Ihres Hundes zu nutzen.
Bezüglich der Herausforderungen mit den Bergstraßen und Ihrem Cabrio möchten wir uns entschuldigen. Die geografischen Bedingungen können mitunter zu besonderen Anforderungen an Fahrzeuge führen.
