Friendly hotel with great staff and excellent food
My second visit to the Jagerhof and this stay was as enjoyable as the first. The location of the hotel is slightly above the village centre. There is a unique elevator system which operates mainly for skiers but operates in summer and is ideal to use after a long walk. The views from the bar and terrace really are lovely. The rooms are nicely appointed and kept very clean. All members of staff are happy, polite and friendly and the hotel is very well managed. The food was outstanding on both visits. Very nice breakfast and being on half board, an excellent dinner each night. Ischgl is a great base for walking around the Paznaun area with various lifts and well marked paths. There is a good guide book and map purchasable from the tourist office.

In a word....Perfect!
We have been fortunate to visit Austria on many occasions, always using a 4* hotel but The Jägerhof is a certainly a cut above the rest. We stayed for two weeks with no repeats on the evening menu which was a refreshing change. The staff were über friendly, the service was excellent, the rooms were kept spotless and what we had to eat and drink was A1 (if you are unsure of what to drink at the bar then Matyas has a knack of knowing what you will enjoy....). The hotel is also a perfect base to explore the Paznaun valley and the included Silvretta Premium card gave us free access to the valley bus service, all operating (11 or 12) mountain lifts and a 20% discount on our bike hire. Can't recommend The Jägerhof highly enough....top marks to Frau Jäger and all her team!

Excellent holiday
Another fantastic year in Ischgyl. Hotel Jagerhof is excellent, from the staff , the rooms to the food . Been here 5 times now and highly recommend it . Good central location and loads to see and do .

Excellent Stay
What a great week we had here, booked through Inghams.
From the moment we walked in until the day we left, we felt very welcome,nothing was too much trouble.
Check-in was quick, efficient, helpful, informative, and friendly.
Our double room, 108 was an OK size, however the balcony was very small, it was divided into 2 and our neighbours were sat right outside our window, which gave us no privacy at all, however after a few days a blind was put up, which did actually help.
The mountain and church views from the balcony were lovely.
The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and was cleaned to a high standard every day.
The bathroom had a great rain forest shower, however quite compact.
A safe was also provided in the room,this worked with your room card.
Breakfast was SO good, your typical Austrian offering, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, salad, pastries, and a selection of hot dishes too.
You were also allowed to make up your own packed lunch too.
Evening Meal was a 5 course event, soup, starter, salad, main, and dessert.
All the food was absolutely delicious.
All guests receive a Silvretta premium card, which gives you free access to all the cable cars, chairlift and buses in the village and all neighbouring areas too.
Would we stay here again and recommend DEFINITELY ❤️

Great stay at Hotel Jaegerhof
Travelled to Ischgl 7th Sept 2024 to spend a week at Hotel Jaegerhof. Superb hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our room 208 was clean and sizable but our balcony was divided into 2 and our neighbours were sat against the window where our double bed was. This meant we didn't have any privacy and had to keep the curtains shut as their heads were against our window! The views from balcony were great with mountains and church. The food at Jaegerhof was superb. Great breakfast buffet and 5 course meals. The food was high quality and beautifully presented. We could take food for packed lunch everyday. Service was always with a smile. Location was great as opposite town tunnel so easy access into town and silvretta bahn as well as the supermarket. That said Ischgl was a ghost town the whole time we were there. In the evening we would go for a walk and often see no one and most pubs and hotels were closed. We had snow the last 2 days but this did not stop us. The hotel staff did amazingly well to make us feel so welcome , given the hotel owner Josef, had died two weeks earlier. His wife was so brave and carried on despite everything to ensure that guests were looked after. We received a lovely gift on leaving from the family and we really appreciated the excellent stay. If only they had an indoor pool as that would make it perfect as prices at the silvretta therme are extortionate. Received a Silvretta premium card on arrival so local buses and cable cars were free. Would definitely return to the Jaegerhof but maybe a few weeks earlier next time.
