Picobello done!!
Super neat and clean, everything neat for each other. Nice breakfast.
Every day clean beds, towels and even your pyjamas were folded for you. We were super satisfied! For skiers short walk to the bus stop that takes you to the Hahnenkamm gondola.

Thoroughly recommended!
Great B&B, brilliant, but quiet location close to centre and all amenities. There was a delicious breakfast everyday and the lovely hosts were happy to help with any questions or requests we had. We are very pleased to have stayed here. And wow the views from the two balconies!

We recommend
A very nice bed and breakfast and very friendly hosts. Good location. We stayed overnight with our ice hockey team and felt very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We hope to be able to stay at Pension Schmiedinger again next year.

Lovely B&B
Having had a bad experience in Ischgl over the New Year, Covid etc so no skiing, decided we needed another ski break and chose our favourite resort, Kitzbuhel, and our favourite Pension which is the Schmidinger. This is our 4th time here and we love the place, good setting, typical Tyrolean interior, great breakfast, lovely hosts!
As an aside, apres ski not quite what it was, Pavillon Bar is closed, SpoHo has completely gone, fortunately for anyone going now Austria has just lifted all restrictions so no masks or Covid checks, The Londoner back open until 5am instead of 12pm, and more importantly, live music back on, so enjoy!

Family ski break
Have been to Kitzbuhel a few times before but normally stay at the Sporthotel Reisch, because of cost decided to do some personal research and find alternative accommodation
Jet2 from East Midlands to Salzburg, good flight times and under £1000 for 3 adults, Andi's taxis for the transfer, €120 each way and Pension Schmidinger booked in the summer direct with Barbara worked out at €80 per person per night, that's 2 adults in one room and our son in a double room even though he was on his own
Typical Austrian experience, lovely Pension just outside Kitzbuhel, decent rooms and bathrooms and good breakfast to set us up for the day. About 10 mins walk up to the bahn where our skis were stored, but can store at Pension if you want, we would have preferred better quality pillows and 6.40am snow clearing is a bit much if you've been out the night before, it was New Year week! but otherwise was perfect for what we needed
Three 6 day ski passes for all area skiing was €855, and 2 sets of premium skis from Intersport was €277 with a further €80 for 2 lockers at the bahn
As you can see Kitzbuhel is not a cheap option, and we had lunch on the mountain, dinner and apres ski to pay for as well but felt that this B&B option funded our extra expenditure as opposed to a package holiday
We enjoyed SpoHo, especially when the piano man was on, Tues & Thurs I think, Short & Curlies arrived at the Londoner on Fri before we flew back, now that was an expensive 4 hours but great fun!
We enjoyed Bar Centro, service at Il Gusto on NYE was great!
It snowed from when we arrived to when we left, nearly missed the flight going home because of an accident on the road, pretty stressful
Skiing is varied, from flat light and white out moguls to above cloud blue skies and lovely pistes so be careful, enjoy!
