Great hotel to explore the city
A fine hotel. Rooms are good. Great spacious bed, perfect airconditioning. Shower area a bit too small if you are tall, but they are renovating the bathrooms staff told me.
Breakfast is good with plenty stuff. The older man is very polite and knows his guests very good.
Very close by is a subway station which is the way of transportation in the city.
Close to the hotel is a long shopping street which is worth to look at.

Inept management center - a receptionist had to fix it!
The location right next to the Westbahnhof and Mariahilfer Straße is of course optimal.
I've been to Leonardo twice before and once had the misfortune of having a room towards the belt - horror!
This time I got two rooms towards side streets (more on that later...).
Breakfast is ok, but also not anymore: Selection not too large, "scrambled eggs" (in Austrian: egg dish) diluted with milk, fruit in the glass tasted horrible and sour, which is why I didn't finish eating it.
And now to the topic of "two rooms":
There were three of us on the first day, two of us on the second day.
The primary reason I wanted to book directly with Leonardo was because you get a 10% discount as a club member.
I had therefore requested for the first day.
The offer was more expensive than the one via Booking.com!
So I booked the first night for 3 people because it is not possible otherwise and indicated in the message box that I would like to make another booking for the second night and would like to keep the room so that we do not have to settle extra. Also, it would be less work for the staff if the room didn't have to be prepared specifically for the next guests. Furthermore, it was not even a real 3 bed room, but only a slightly larger standard room with a rollaway extra bed.
I will spare you the page-by-page back and forth at this point...
My messages obviously ended up in some hot air producing Leonardo headquarters where my concern simply did not want or could not be understood.
At some point I gave it up, made the second booking for 2 people and noted there that we would already spend the night before in a 3 bed room.
As expected, this did not work out and I would have liked to cancel everything again.
The positive comes to a conclusion:
A single (very nice and competent) receptionist saved the situation.
Check-in is usually from 3pm. We checked out of our old room at 09:30 and the receptionist immediately gave us the card for a new room.
I understand THIS by customer friendliness!
What I haven't liked yet:
Bath/WC extremely small (about 2sqm).
Mold in the shower cubicle, shower door could not be closed properly because the suspension had given way (in the second room or bathroom the seal was missing at all, so the bathroom was wet after showering).
The lid of the wet room socket had broken off, which would have to be repaired immediately in the splash water area.
The flexible supply arms of the lamps next to the beds were defective (in both rooms), which can become dangerous in the long run (even if the shielding of the cables is chafed through).

Nice Hotel
Nice Hotel not far from the main shopping streets and a 30 mintues walk or 8 mintues U3 ride to the city centre . clean and safe , room a tad small but fine . i will be back

Terrible hosting
I have just arrived to Leonardo hotel in Vienna. My booking was comfort room with all pictures at website refer to king size bed with average space in the room. But what I actually find is terrible small room with very small bed and annoying sliding roof over my head. I asked reception to change my booking although they refused and informed me that all rooms are occupied.
I am very disappointed with such room which i think worse than hostel.
