ALUX HOUSE: A bit of Paradise in Placencia

We recently returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at ALux k House ( # 4). This upstairs 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was perfect. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. It had a full kitchen with every appliance you could want. The bedroom has a full closet with a safe, - plenty of hangers, very comfortable mattress, bed side reading lamps which are a necessity for us. The bathroom had a great shower, always hot water and lots of shelf space for our toiletries. And the woven bath towels were amazing. I am going to order a set for my own bathroom . The owners also provided, extra tooth brushes, paste, razors, QTips, & cotton balls,
as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The living room has a large smart TV with PRIME streaming included. We were able to watch all our favorite news shows through UTUBE.
The air conditioner and ceiling fans kept us cool.
Our favorite “room” was the spacious deck right out side the living room. It was perfect for morning coffee ! There is a table where we played cards
and had happy hour. There is a second seating area with a love seat, 2 chairs and a table. The fan was also a plus.
We used the plunge pool to cool off even on the days we went to the beach. We also had the use of beach chairs and towels that were easy to carry
the very short walk to the beach. There are plenty of palm trees to sit under for shade.
We also had use of the washer and dryer which was a bonus since we had been traveling inland for a week and needed clean clothes !
The staff was great. There was always someone on site during the day. We asked for a cleaning service once during the stay but could have had
more.
There are outdoor motion sensors for lights which was greatly appreciated when walking back from dinners out. I would still recommend bringing a small flashlight.
The ALux House location right off the ‘Sidewalk” was ideal. It is also very close the one main road so easy to get to the Tutti Frutti Gelato shop if we had a craving .
There are many fun restaurants to try and 2 beach clubs open to,the public for use of larger swimming pools.
We highly recommend ALux House for your stay in Placencia.

Great stay! Perfect location, experience and staff!
My room was connected - with locked door between - the room next door, and you could hear everything going on next door.

The location is amazing, tucked away between to main sidewalk and the street. Quiet and convenient. The property photos and descriptions are accurate. We didn't visit the pool but we saw there was one. Great place to stay if you just want to be in the center of the village.

This is a very nice small boutique hotel near the beach. The only compliant I had was about communication with their staff. I had spoken twice with their staff to request help with scheduling a taxi to the airport and was told it was confirmed. However on the day of my departure there was none scheduled. The staff on duty didn't know anything about it. I had to wait for a taxi to be called and this could have caused me to miss my flight.

Spoiled rotten at this hidden gem! You’ll be back just like we have time and time again. Love it here! Clean & spacious!

Hidden gem!! Don’t miss out. Super hosts and kind staff. Lots of kitchen tools with starter coffee, condiments and toiletries. Close to beach and sidewalk but quiet. Pool, bbq grille and spacious common areas to enjoy. Home away from home!
