Really excellent apt-style hostel to stay in for a long period of time! Great breakfast too!

I spent about 10 days in Uyuni with a friend to do my thesis research and wanted to stay in a nice place with access to a kitchen so that I could cook my own meals and safe some money (because the restaurants nearby are costly)
Each appartment has private rooms, fully-stocked kitchens, living space, TVs and a nice, hot shower! The facilities are really nice, clean and comfortable.
The family that lives in and runs the hotel is really friendly and helpful. The señora cooks a delicious hot breakfast every morning with freshly made juice, eggs, fruit salad, toast, salchica, sweet bread and hot drinks. This is definitely a highlight!
The location is excellent and is close to the central market, restaurants and main stretch in town.
Wifi is so-so; however, this is common in Uyuni.

Disappointing

Honestly it was a bad experience. The room was so cold that we could see our breath. The rolling radiator had been programmed to shut off and turn on at certain intervals. We tried to stay in one room with the heat but it didn’t work well. We had to leave.
The “staff” (one lady) seemed inconvenienced that we were there.
It wasn’t good.
The location was great but that was it.

Awful, awful, awful

Worst place ever. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were bothering them. The room was very dated and COLD. They put a tiny electric heater. They could have put it on a bit earlier because the room was freezing (it was -10 outside!). We asked for another heater because it was so cold and we were with young children and they said no even if we could clearly see there was only 1 other room occupied and all the other rooms were empty but they clearly were not going to be helpful. The room hardly warned up but there was no hope of using the bathroom that was literally frozen. The breakfast was a joke. They gave us half a teaspoon of jam. We had to ask for milk, the rude lady gave us half a glass of milk which we shared between us and asked for more right away and this time, she gave a quarter of the glass. We gave up at that point.

Could be better

This could be so much better if the service was good too. Rooms are clean and apartment style. Sadly electrical heaters arent sufficient in wintertime. Breakfast was ok but not great. We only stayed for one night and im glad we did.

Stayed 3 weeks

During an extended visit to Uyuni I stayed in this hotel for three weeks. I stayed in the apartment on the first floor, facing the street. The apartment itself is very neat, has everything we needed (did not use kitchenette). Daily cleaning and housekeeping made sure this was constant throughout our visit. The apartment is spacious enough for three people and the beds are comfortable. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is quite OK, especially for Bolivian standards, as long as there is only a few people active at the same time.
Breakfast is served throughout the morning and there is plenty to start your day.
The hotel is situated along the Av. Potosi, the main street of Uyuni and markets are held on Thursdays and Sundays. The street in front of the hotel is closed during these days for traffic. The markets do not start very early, you can sleep in on Sundays. Several restaurants are very closeby.
Freddy and his wife were a great help, and assisted us with our questions and were very knowledgeable about Uyuni and the surroundings.
A great place to stay for a couple of days, would definitely stay here again.
