We loved it

This Pousada is just perfect.
Ideally located between the first and second beaches, with everything in the immediate vicinity but with more calm than the bustle of the beaches.
The staff is super nice, the breakfast is royal, all in a family atmosphere.
We were even invited to share Christmas dinner!!
I highly recommend

The comfort and view of the Aroeira room is amazing

The view, the room I stayed in, the breakfast were wonderful…
Mrs Norma is a very good person and her daughter Érica even more so.
Even better is our collaborator Luz, she is truly a light.
I only have good things stored in my heart and in my memory.
And thank you very much for the special breakfast on my birthday.

Mediocre vibe, had a cleaner take some cash from the room

The hotel is well situated between first and second beaches. It has a pool. But unfortunately the hotel staff are extraordinarily neutral. Even when we realised that R$100 was skimmed off some of our money and told them. We would have thought that they would have tried to investigate. Of course we should not have left our money in sight but actually the cleaner asked me if she could clean it and I hadn't looked around as I went to wait in the next room that was ours too. I did email the management to tell them but got no answer - so this review is the next step. The breakfast was mixed with meat - the cheese and meat on same platter, eggs with meat etc. So if you are a vegetarian not much choice.

cliente desequilibrado e com uma péssima conduta que tivemos a má sorte de ter aqui na nossa pousada em 2018.
Acusou uma moradora nativa respeitada, que trabalha conosco a anos, uma mãe de família de ter pegado seu dinheiro.
Oferecemos ajudar a eles a procurar porque seguramente não sabia onde estava porque o quarto deles era uma desordem de comida panelas e roupas tudo muito bagunçado, mas eles não aceitaram.
Informamos que nunca aconteceu isso aqui na nossa pousada, tentamos mostrar as imagens da nossa câmera de segurança para que visse que ela limpou o quarto com eles dentro e não entrou ninguém mas no quarto deles,mas também se recusaram a ver e demos a opção de chamar a policia local para averiguar,porque ficamos preocupados com a crise de ira do clientes, mas também se recusou.
A nossa pousada é uma casa muito tranquila e trabalhamos só com nativos da ilha e eles são 100% confiáveis.
E sempre estamos tentando ajudar nosso hospedes a se sentirem melhor, mas recebemos pessoas maravilhosas e as vezes pessoas desequilibradas e até grosseiras.
Não acredito que nenhum dono de pousada esta interessado em ter alguém que roube seus clientes e ainda não tomar nenhuma atitude para resolver um caso desses.
O nosso café da manhã não é um café de hotel 5 estrelas , mas estamos muito orgulhosos de que seja gostoso,fresco e saboroso com vários itens naturais e de fabricação propiá e alguns pratos vegetariano.
Temos vários comentários de pessoas que visitaram nossa pousada que é uma das mas antigas da ilha e temos muitos bons comentários de nossas instalações,funcionários e nosso café.

A great place to stay

We stayed in this Pousada about eight years ago and loved it then so we had no hesitation in booking to stay there again on this trip. If anything it was even better than we remembered. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had one with a balcony and sea-view and it was lovely. The breakfast was the best that we had during our entire stay in Salvador Bahia. Every day there are different choices and beautifully home-baked pastries, breads and cakes. Their tiny little doughnuts are divine! Norma is the charming owner and she is assisted by her son, Kaio and his friend Gui. They all have good English which was helpful to us because they could give us good tips on what to do and where to go. The pousada is situated on First Beach which we love. It is quieter than the others, has good swimming and is close to all the restaurants. We wish we were still there!
