TERRIFIC HOTEL
This place surpassed my expectations. We had to go to Chuy, Uruguay for the day. We stayed at Internacional. Across the street is Chuí, Brazil. The rooms on this hotel are amazing! The staff went above what is expected. And you will love seeing the Breakfast Bar in the morning.

Never again, mushrooms everywhere
The mold hotel. Pure humidity, totally unhealthy and expensive.
We will never return again, we decided that, and from what I read we were not the only ones to run into the humidity.
Moisture stains in the bathroom, in the room, ceilings and walls. Mal.

Not many choices in the area
Paid for a superior room and got a standard one. I was invited to see the room before checking in, as they were aware of their act. Do not believe pictures, as they have only 2 superior ones. Arriving at 21.00 o'clock and having travelled all day, all I wanted was a shower and a bed. Wi Fi worked sometimes and only by the reception. Bed had a wooden frame surrounding the mattress which I hit many times with my legs! Room and and bathroom could be cleaned better!. Guarded parking. Will avoid in the future.

A Pleasant Surprise in Several Ways
This hotel is listed as three stars, so, we really were not expecting a lot. We didn´t need a lot - just a clean, quiet room. We were here to shop, not sit around in a hotel.
The entrance is not impressive. One of those U-shaped shopping arcades with the hotel at the back of the U, behind glass doors. Functional, but not pretty.
However, the hotel offers secure off-street parking, and the rooms, although a bit small, were clean and definitely quiet. The split (heat/air con) worked perfectly, so temperature, on this chilly autumn evening, could be regulated as desired. Our travelling partners listened to music in their room, but we did not. Neither of us watched TV. Although we used neither, there was an exercise room and a games room available, and an interior courtyard with benches.
The breakfast buffet the next morning was excellent. There was variety and quality. This was a most pleasant surprise.
The cost is reasonable. We would stay again.

Read the reviews, gave them a try
First thing, we live in Uruguay, and we're used to the accommodations here. We read the reviews of the hotel, and some were good and some not so good.
We needed to go to Chuy to cross the border into Brazil to get our passports stamped and stopped in to check out the International Hotel. We stayed for two nights, and we found the staff to be friendly, informative, and helpful. There was secure parking in the back, and they gave us a covered space for the car. There was playground equipment for children in the courtyard.
The room was clean, the bathroom appeared to be newly remodelled, and the rest of the room was comfortable. The air-conditioning worked, was quiet, and there was a small fridge in the corner to keep our food and drinks in. They provide water and beer, but we didn't try them; they may have been expensive. There was also free wi-fi in our room.
My wife asked for an extra blanket and a couple of pillows, which they promptly provided. There was no elevator, but also, no elevator noise - nice touch.
The best surprise was breakfast, it was upstairs, and they provided a variety of different items, fruits, yogurt, ham, cheese, local delicacies, a variety of nice bakery items, juice, good coffee, and a toaster grill, for making hot sandwiches. The tables and chairs were clean, and there was a view of the main street below.
Brazil is just across the median, and there are duty-free shops all along the Uruguay side of the street.
Apparently, when they say, "a las orden," they mean it. All in all, a great trip, Our thanks to the staff of the Hotel International.
