Where to start?! Amazing luxury hotel!
Where to start with this amazing hotel! We stayed at The Malcolm over the weekend and it absolutely did not disappoint.
The staff on reception were all so helpful and lovely. Check-in and check-out were both really easy. We arrived earlier than check-in so we could explore Canmore, and we received a text message when our room was ready, which was really helpful.
The hotel has a valet service as well as a free car park underneath the hotel. It was great knowing our vehicle was secure, and there was plenty of parking available.
My husband also loved the morning weather texts from the hotel, letting us know the forecast for the day. Such a useful little touch!
The hotel itself is modern with a rustic, mountain-lodge feel, which I especially loved. Everything is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The fireplace inside was gorgeous, and it was fabulous having it lit in August because it was bloomin’ cold outside some days being up in the mountains!
The gift shop inside the hotel was great and had a fantastic selection of items to buy, all at reasonable prices.
We also really enjoyed the restaurant, which had a great selection of delicious food to suit everyone. There were lots of seating areas throughout the hotel, both inside and outside, where you could sit, relax and enjoy a drink.
We loved that you could order drinks pretty much anywhere around the hotel by either phoning or scanning the QR codes around the pool area and on the tables. So convenient!
We used the outdoor hot tubs and pool, which were both really well maintained and clean. We went first thing in the morning when they opened at 8am, and it was amazing! Such a lovely, relaxing way to start the morning before heading out for a day of exploring.
Our bedroom and the view were absolutely breathtaking! The room was beautiful, clean and modern, and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We had dressing gowns, slippers, a coffee machine, tea facilities, a wine cooler and glasses, and lots more.
And then there’s the location — brilliant!
The Malcolm is in a classy and sophisticated area right in the centre of Canmore, surrounded by lots of restaurants, shops and boutiques. We loved that the area wasn’t as overrun with tourists as Banff was when we visited. It really is the perfect location.
We saw a few hotels while visiting Banff for the day, and we were so happy with our decision to stay in Canmore at The Malcolm. For us, it felt far more luxurious and superior, while also being much quieter and less busy.
My husband also used the hotel to book our trips to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, which was completely hassle-free. It was reassuring knowing everything was booked securely and through a legitimate service.
We are already planning our next trip back with our four children and genuinely can’t wait to return!

Group retreat
We were booked in for a group retreat and were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was beautiful and its location is stunning sandwiched between two creeks and walkways everywhere. The hotel is great and the staff was very friendly. Public areas are kept very clean, and there are pleasant, quiet areas to sit. The food was delicious and the dining areas were clean and pleasant. We were there for a work retreat and as such, we made use of the meeting rooms that were also very nice and very professionally laid out.

Unforgettable Birthday Stay!
My husband and I stayed at The Malcolm Hotel for my birthday, and we couldn't have had a better experience! From the seamless check-in to the incredible service throughout our entire stay, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. The hotel itself is gorgeous, but the top-notch hospitality truly set it apart. We’ll definitely be back! 5/5 stars.

Wonderful Stay!
Wonderful stay! The staff was attentive, as were the amenities. Room was very comfortable and we had a great view of the the Three Sisters right from our balcony. Centrally located for our travels and thoroughly enjoyed the town of Canmore as well.

Great experience.
Great location, good bar and restaraunt, clean rooms and good staff. Great grab and go pantry for coffee and snacks was also helpful.
