clean, suitable and cheap

a simple, clean, well located and reasonably priced hotel. The view of the bay from the second floor and terrace is worth it. It doesn’t offer breakfast and doesn’t have the attention of a chain hotel, but it doesn’t matter: comfortable beds, impeccable bathroom, cool receptionist and photos of Bob Marley. What more can you ask for:)

This is an economy stay more than a full hotel experience. There is no elevator, and in southern summer the upper floors are very hot. There is no air conditioning and no fans in the room. So even after the air outside cooled down the room was quite warm. I had thought there was a roof restaurant but it is more a shared kitchen with no restaurant service. Even with all that, it was a good choice for my group.
Also, at check in, they required the paper from Chilean customs and immigration services. In Santiago my hotel did not ask for this, so it is important to have one you.

Excellent Cerro Alegre location!

Great location in the center of Cerro Alegre. It is only about 200 meters from a great view of the city and the “elevator” which is something that you must experience. There are many nice bars and restaurants on the same street as EcoMusic hotel. I stayed in the Bob Marley room that had a great view of the ocean and Valparaiso. The room is worth the price: it might be a good idea if they could add some hangers or anything on the wall to hang clothes/jackets. Breakfast was NOT included with the room - this should be updated on the Trip Advisor page. Overall, I recommend EcoMusic hotel: I would stay here for a second time if I visit Valparaiso again in the future.

Family run business with nice hosts. Artsy area with many dining options.

Excellent value and brilliant location

This is a real find. Perfectly located with outstanding views out to sea.
Make sure you book room with a view.
Excellent value
24 hour reception.
Cons.
Can get a little late night noice from revellers. But hey so what.
Breakfast only adequate but for price just fine.
Best value so far.
