Very disappointing stay with no response from the landlord

Unfortunately, our New Year's Eve stay in apartments no. 3 and 4 left us with a thoroughly disappointing experience. Communication was difficult when we arrived, as the landlord's father, who was present on site, spoke neither German nor English. The landlord himself was also uncooperative over the phone and was not prepared to discuss any defects that had occurred on site.
The defects listed were numerous and serious: from cleanliness problems in the bathroom with the smell of feces, to dirty mattresses and sagging beds, to mold on the skylights in the sleeping area. The kitchen was missing equipment and had a broken extractor hood. Missing cupboards throughout the apartment, inadequate lighting and the lack of specified parking spaces rounded off the disappointing picture.
Despite a detailed email to the landlord asking for feedback by January 21, 2024 (3 weeks), there was no response. Unfortunately, the landlord missed the opportunity to clarify the defects and offer a satisfactory solution. Based on this experience, we strongly advise against staying in these apartments.

Unfortunately, failure and trouble

We were there after Christmas and over New Year's Eve. Basically, the landlord had only difficult communication or no response at all, by phone or email. Various defects in the equipment were hardly remedied on site over the entire time. In addition, some corners were not really cleaned, with stained mattresses, etc. The designated parking spaces on the premises could NOT be used by ANY guests because of permanent construction work, which was NOT announced in advance and then often led to awkward and narrow parking queues in front of the gate. The landlord's father was on the premises from time to time and at least tried to help in a friendly way, but could not speak German or English. The bottom line is that the accommodation is not cheap by local standards, but given the quality, the feeling of staying there and the lack of cooperation, it is unfortunately a complete disappointment.
