XXL prices, but unfortunately no XXL quality.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired throughout the entire site. Our pitch made an unkempt impression, and even during a walk around the grounds, it was noticeable that many things have aged and do not appear particularly well-maintained.
The sanitary facilities in the area of the XXL comfort pitches were particularly disappointing. In the men's restroom/shower area, only four showers are available, which is completely inadequate for the size of the site.
The beach was also in very poor condition during our stay. Over large areas, there were large amounts of seaweed and organic deposits on the shore. The beach appeared unkempt and did not invite one to swim or linger. Especially for a resort that advertises its beach location, this is very disappointing.
Overall, we had the impression that price and performance do not match at all here. The location right by the water is indeed beautiful, but it cannot compensate for the shortcomings in cleanliness, infrastructure, and maintenance.
Conclusion: For the price charged, we expected significantly more. The XXL comfort pitches, the sanitary facilities, and especially the condition of the beach do not justify the high price in our view. We will not return and would rather choose a smaller, better-maintained campsite in the future.

Too expensive and a money machine
But for us, the positive experiences, unfortunately, stop there too.
In my opinion, the price has become far too high. We gave around NOK 8,000 for five days, which is significantly more expensive than many other campsites. At the same time, you have to pay extra for many of the activities, which makes the stay even more expensive.
The size of the place also makes the waterpark feel too small and pretty boring. On days of bad weather there is simply not enough capacity indoors. The outdoor water area is fine, but it does not help, of course, when the weather is not for it.
We also found that many of the employees were very young, and the service appeared to be deficient in several places.
This is not written as a sour upsurge, but because price and experience in my opinion do not link. For comparison, we visited Jesperhus and Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park, where we paid around NOK 4,500 for a stay and how far most activities were included in the price. In my opinion, it gives much more value for money.
I am Jyde, and to me, unfortunately, it seems as if the prices on Feddet have been screwed up to a level that does not match what you get. That is why it will not be a campsite we choose again.

Price and quality are not related
The positive first: Our cabin was nice and clean upon arrival, which we greatly appreciated. The playgrounds were also quite fine, and the areas were well-maintained in most places as a whole. However with the exception of very old tables and benches and quite a lot of weeds.
Unfortunately, several of the things marketed on the website did not live up to expectations. The maskots Theo and Tulle, which are also actively used in materials on site, for example in the bistro, where children receive drawings. However, we found that the mascots are not present at all on the square on a daily basis, but only at very special events. This should be made clearer on the website. Especially since there is also advertising with “Theo and Tulles workshop” which also did not have open during this period.
The indoor water park also seemed significantly larger on the pictures than in reality. The dressing rooms for the pool area seemed worn and outdated, and the facilities were definitely not very senior-friendly. In addition, the outdoor spa and sauna were out of operation during our stay.
We also experienced that very little was open on the square. The reception and kiosk closed at 16 every day, and there was generally not much activity or staff to see. In our opinion, it should be much clearer when booking that you get a significantly reduced experience outside the high season with many closed facilities. The price should also reflect this.
The kiosk was a disappointment. The selection was limited, some items seemed old, and the vegetable compartment was empty every day without as much as an apple or a carrot. At the same time we found that the prices on site were generally very high.
We also visited the bistro. The food was acceptable, but nothing special, and the prices seemed high relative to the quality. The service was also slow and unengaged.
Finally, we noticed that the trash cans in several places on the square were often overcrowded, which reduced the overall impression.
Overall, Feddet Strand Camping is not a bad place, but we were back with the feeling that the marketing promises more than you actually get – especially outside the season. For us, the experience lands on 2-3 stars, and it is not a place we necessarily feel the need to visit again.
