Comfortable stay

This was a great place to stay before and after our Amazon trip.
We spent one night here before our flight and another after returning. The location is very convenient for the airport, making transfers easy.
The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and had lovely views.
The hosts were fantastic and went out of their way to help us. They were up early to see us off, prepared a boxed breakfast for our early departure, looked after our luggage, and even did our laundry at short notice. They also have a nice selection of unique local souvenirs for sale.
There are several good restaurants just a short and inexpensive Uber ride away, along with Scala Mall, which is modern, clean, and has plenty of shops, restaurants, and banks.

heaven on earth

We had spent 4 days getting there and what a relief! They sent a taxi to pick us up at Quito airport and bring us to the Ilatoa Lodge. We got there after 9 pm and the owner wifes was there to greet us. There was a tea and coffee bar at our disposal.The dining area had bookshelves filled with travel books and a a fire place with a comfortable couch to sit and enjoy the fire. The owner was very informed and eager to answer our questions The room was beautiful and comfy with open beam ceilings and large windows there was a carafe full of cold water and glass glasses to drink from. The grounds were expansive with beautiful with colorful trees and flowers and places to sit and take in the beauty. They have 2 very lovable sweet dogs that escort you as you wander around and hummingbirds galore. Breakfast was amazing with eggs,toast or roll,fresh squeezed orange juice, cafe con leeche,and a charcuterie board with 3 different cheese's sliced ham and a fresh fruit cup with yogurt. We will visit again and stay longer than 1 night. So peaceful. It's small sustainable boutique hotel with only 6 rooms. If you really want to get away and relax. this is the place!

This place is very beautiful and the service is super excellent.
Marcelo and Rosanna are wonderful and very warm people. I highly recommend this lodge.

Perfect little oasis outside of Quito

The owners were wonderful people who were very accommodating. Our room was immaculate with beautiful views. The dogs on property were so friendly. It was just outside of Quito (15 minutes from airport) but it was like you were miles away in the country. It was quiet with lots of birds and feeders around.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so happy to know you enjoyed your stay in your room and that you were treated with kindness by the entire staff. It's good to know Ringo and Luna are appreciated; we think having them makes the Lodge feel more like home. We're close to everything, but at the same time far from the city. Here, you only hear the birds in the morning, especially hummingbirds.

Amazing location giving beautiful views

An absolutely beautiful location. Lovely grounds, humming birds and amazing views from bedroom balconies. Very comfortable traditional style lodge. Excellent breakfast. The owners and their staff are very welcoming. Stayed here the night before our flight to Galapagos and again the night before our flight home. Very relaxing. If you want to eat out, you are likely to need to get the staff to book you a taxi as they are located on a very steep hill, but that is what gives the amazing views.

We really appreciate your lovely review. We strive every day to provide the best and most personalized service. It's a pleasure to know you enjoyed your stay in your room. Being so high up on the slopes of the Ilaló volcano gives us a spectacular view. We're close to everything, yet far from the city. Here, all you hear are the birds in the morning, especially the hummingbirds. Guests have the option of dining at the Lodge, ordering delivery, or dining out. If you'd like a wider variety, the best option is Cumbaya.
