Good stay at the orangery
Minibar in the room.
Very beautiful pool.
Dined twice, excellent meals, hearty.
Breakfast only sweet, small downside.

I recommend this hotel
The hotel is remarkable: the rooms are beautiful, the terraces very pleasant, and the restaurant is excellent.
But what I will remember above all is the extraordinary kindness, the thoughtfulness, and the availability of the owner as well as his entire team. In a difficult situation, they did much more than their job: they provided me with valuable support and did everything to help me. Thanks to them, everything ultimately ended very well.
I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed and I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return, this time under much more pleasant circumstances.

Missed opportunity
First of all: staff are friendly and correct and the rooms are very neat and nice! Tastefully decorated, well finished, lovely bed.
But... you're mostly awake in that bed. This case has to make a choice. Does it want to be a quiet hotel or does it want to be a bar and party place for the locals. Late into the night noise from the bar that can be heard throughout the hotel. After the sleepless night you get a breakfast that is on the poor side. For toppings just jam and a slice of ham. Punt. No cheese, no local charcuterie or anything and no egg or fresh fruit (but squeezed orange juice).
The contrast between the beautiful interior of the hotel and the outdoor space is also particularly great. Outside it's, let's put it nicely, rather messy. Unused tables and chairs stacked in plain sight (in a corner, but just in plain sight), extension cords, empty bottles in bins in plain sight, a half-disassembled bar furniture (presumably from an earlier party, but not further demolished and stored), freestanding chairs pardoes everywhere, wooden pallets in plain sight,... in short, a mess. All this is independent of the work on a swimming pool. This makes it even messier with broken decking lying around (but that mess will probably be gone once the pool is ready).
It's a real shame! This location has everything to be a great small-scale hotel (we booked based on the photos), but they completely miss the ball with the way it is run. Clutter everything up, neatly put unused things away from guests, if necessary add a building where you can store everything (that is more urgent than that pool), remove those silly tricolor Christmas lights in the tree and on the wall and provide different mood light and close your bar at 10 or 11 p.m. so guests can sleep. And for the morning: provide a more extensive breakfast.
