Most comfortable stay and an excellent dinner

Stayed here on a walking holiday across this part of France in late May and it was the highlight of our trip. A swim when we arrived after a day on the trail was most welcome and drinks on the terrace were followed by an excellent dinner. It's true that the grandeur is a little faded but that's very much part of the charm of the place. Make sure you look around the beautiful old orangery in the garden. Will return for a longer stay some time.

A lucky find

Beautiful chateau in extensive grounds. Our room was light and airy. The whole place needs updating and is a bit tired but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. A shear delight. Evening meal was delicious. Really felt spoilt and at a reasonable price. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely Setting

A lovely chateau but slightly tired. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean but could do with updating. The food was good an excellent breakfast in nice surroundings. We had dinner twice and felt that some of the sauces didn't compliment the excellent basic ingredients. Marvellous sweetbreads but the mustard sauce was far too powerful. The foie gras was very good. Unfortunately the swimming pool was not in use as it was being repaired which was a shame but overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The staff were were very pleasant and helpful and there is a marvellous conservatory in the garden which is well worth looking at.

Good hosts for a business seminar

Spent two days there on business. Beautiful location with lovely views of the mountains. Staff were welcoming and friendly. They were also very responsive and flexible to our changing needs. My room was very nice, clean and spacious. Food was of a good standard. However, don't ask them for cocktails - I don't think the person making them had a clue. The mojito was absolutely horrible and was nothing like it.

Quiet splendour

If you are travelling to this beautiful imposing Chateau,my impressions are those of late October,well away from the main Season. So with that in mind ,we were during the 3 days stay the only occupants.This might trouble some people having the Chateau with the beautiful dining room to oneself for dinner ,which was very good and the breakfast was both extensive and delightful . We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the dual aspect ground floor room with a stunning view across countryside to the distant mountains .These views are replicated in the tastefully decorated lounges.
The service and hospitality was friendly and charming,we will revisit.
