Sehr gute Option in der Region - sehr zu empfehlen
Meine regelmäßige Station auf der Durchreise vom Norden in den Süden. Angeheme und sehr saubere Zimmer, sehr freundlicher Emfpahg durch Frau Gehann, die auch täglich ein reichhaltiges und frisches Frühstück zubereitet. Ruhige Zimmer trotz der Nähe zur Bahnstation....Check in /check out tadellos.

Pension Rohrig (Herzenach)
Near Boppard, but not "in" Boppard itself. Herzenach, actually. A small village close-by. Out of the way accn. We stayed here o/ni while driving the Rhine with close friends, booking 2 rooms for 4 adults, arranged on-line with "inexpensive" in mind. Average rating because work is in progress; not really too bad.
Arrived about 1710 in rain, doors locked, no one around for check-in. After checking out back & trying all of the 3 unmarked front door buzzers, the lady's friendly husband (who makes dentures in a ground floor office) let us in & got us checked in, inside. Proprietor works in town, I believe. Limited parking, 3 or 4 spots out front by the road, room for 1 more in back.
Disappointing at first, but hey, we were saving a few bucks. It really was not so bad. The building has a few rooms/apartments & is apparently under gradual renovation. High ceilings, wide empty creaky stairs & halls (no decorations yet) while work goes on. Entry through back door so not to bother work in the front office.
The info book (Deutsch) had a 2014 weather report, info on local activities also 2014, and the guest comments book (2007-2014) was full, so we didn't leave any notes. There was a list of local restaurants ( 3 in Herzenach (walking distance), 4 in Bad Salzig, 3 in St Goar), also taxi information. The breakfast room (shared, I think by all guests, of which we were the only ones) was equipped with 2 small fridges, water heater, coffee maker, kettle, sink, etc. Tea & coffee supplied. Not sure there if was a microwave.
Average size rooms with high ceilings, recently re-done, new floors, IKEA-type beds, new shower & good washroom facilities, wardrobe. Lots of hot water. A little spartan, but comfortable enough. Situated on the Rhine (about 80 feet out front, across a double set of train tracks, which are even closer). Right on the road, good view of Rhine barge traffic from the room. Didn't notice train or road noise late at night, but I'm pretty deaf.
Good breakfast next morning (included), laid out by the proprietor. Assorted cold meats, cheeses, bread, rolls, hot coffee, jams, the usual continental, quite enjoyable.
Simple accommodations, appropriately priced for people like us who were looking for an inexpensive o/ni rest spot. Not so disappointing after all.

Vorne Huii Hinten Pfuii
Wir waren 12 Tage hier in dieser Pension. Wir waren auch die einzigen die sooo lange geblieben sind.Das Bett hat gekracht und geknarrt.Die beiden Sitzgelegenheiten waren durchgesesse, und mit Klebeband zusammen gehalten. Wlan ging mal nicht mal ging. Im Frühstücksraum oder Küche man weis es nicht so recht,hat es nicht soo toll ausgesehen.Die gute Frau gibt sich Mühe,Als wir ankamen haben wir Bar bezahlt.
Bei Überweisung oder mit Kreditkarte würde das Frühstück geringer ausfallen.
Hinten zum Hof raus standen ein runder Blechtisch und 4 Stühle. Der Tisch war verschmutzt,und es hat übel nach Abfluss gerochen und das immer, mal mehr mal weniger.Es gab auch eine Veranda,dazu musste mal 20 Eisenstufen auf eigene gefahr hoch gehen.Hat nichtsooo Toll da oben ausgesehen.Alles vertreckt und verschmutzt.
Eine bis 2 Übernachtungen ja.Mehr geht nicht.
Nicht zu Empfehlen für Länger als 2 Tage.
