Very nice area , food ok .

We only had lunch at the restaurant of the hotel . The place is very nice , by the forest , very green . The place is children friendly with many toys and automobiles. Food was good , service was friendly. Prices moderate.

Excellent!

This was not my first visit to Villa Waldek, I am always impressed by the level of hospitality, service and accommodation. The staff is so very cheerful and make sure that all of your needs are met. I do also very much like the family atmosphere and the animal menagerie! Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful place to stay

This is my third year of coming to this wonderful family hotel. I feel like I come home now. The staff here would bend over backwards for us to make sure we feel wellcome and compfy...on fact they did for us this year....... we enjoyed a great dinner buffet and loved the breakfast buffet as well. The beds are super comfortable, wish I could have taken one home. All is clean and I absolutely love all what this hotel has to offer: cute animals, swimming pond, bikes, nice garden, quiet location along the forest, fresh country air, super nice staff, close to town center......I give Villa Waldeck a very high recommendation!!!!!

Friendly hotel

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Waldhotel Villa Waldeck recently. We found the hotel staff to be very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast choices were very good. The room was clean and the size of the room was nice. We enjoyed having a balcony off our room.
It provide a nice place to call "home" while we did day trips from the hotel.

Peacocks and wireless.... oh my....

I've been unfortunate enough to have to spend 5 nights here as part of a tour. The countryside is beautiful, but if it were my call, I'd have left after the one night. Our 1st night here, we were served a cold dinner of various meats, cheeses, fruits, etc. outside, where the flies were ever present. There was no accommodation to protect the food between servings, such as linens to cover it, so it was quite disgusting to consider seconds. The rooms are dated with the single mattresses overly firm and the wireless keeps kicking you off. This is from many users on many devices. The animals are cute for children, but why anyone thinks the peacock calls at all hours of the night is a nice touch, is beyond me. They purchased an iron when I expressed surprise that there wasn't one for our use and balked that my only choice was to pay them to iron my clothes. The breakfast buffet was delicious and although I had to wait an hour, my rump-steak with onions was cooked to perfection.
