Everything was perfect as always

I have been staying at the Panorama one to two times a year for years and always enjoy coming back. This time was my last stay in Heidelberg due to professional reasons.

Does not stick to agreements

I had booked a week in advance. The entire hotel seemed to have very few bookings. Since I only wanted to book this hotel under certain circumstances, I called to find out more about the bookable rooms. After that, I booked and explicitly pointed out that I would like to book the room of the relevant category on the 2nd floor with a view of the Neckar. After the booking, I wrote another email to the hotel with the corresponding note and reference to the phone call. Whereupon it was confirmed back to me that we would get this room.
When we arrived on Monday, I received a room key for a room on the 1st floor without any further comments. floor. When I then pointed out my confirmed booking request, I was told that unfortunately no other room was available and that nothing could be done. There was also no price concession.
In my view, something like this is completely unacceptable.

A nice stay in corner hotel rooms with high quality and good service. Beautiful view of the river. Good breakfast with service.

Excellent hotel close to the Altstadt

I chose the hotel because it is on the riverside and close to but not inside the Altstadt so avoiding the worst of the tourist throng.
My room was spotlessly clean. Great shower and quiet, efficient air-con. It was a single and therefore compact and the bed might be a squeeze for anyone over 6 foot (1.82m) but ask as not all rooms are the same.
Great Continental breakfast selection.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Limited car parking but public parking available nearby some with prebookable hotel rates.
Would I stay again? Yes, definitely.

A perfect hotel for a visit to Heidelberg!

A wonderful smaller hotel right by the Neckar and in the old town location! Parking could be booked additionally. My room had a balcony with a view of the Neckar. Rooms clean, staff very friendly and helpful!
The highlight was a dreamlike breakfast buffet with fresh egg dishes made to order! I would gladly return anytime!
