A Pension Par Excellence
We arrived in a camper at Konigstein late one evening. There was no way I was staying at the Camping site next door. So I went into this charming Pension and asked for a room for the night.....but no climbing stairs. The ladies who were busy serving dinner, were hesitant at first....but later said they could give me a room on the ground floor but a little ways off. The room was a delight. Large and very clean. The bathroom was almost as large.and to step out into the garden was a wesome.. The river Elbe flowing past and the trees just changing colours getting ready for winter, Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was just too much for my little Indian stomach.The ladies who manned the reception and dining room were so very friendly, always smiling and ready to help.Stayed here for 2 nights and Oh to go back there again hopefully some day..

just for one night if necessary
Well... the beds are very worn out and squeak terribly with every little movement. The whole thing has a holiday camp feel to it. For many people, it is. We were kindly given a bottle of water in our room. Unfortunately, there was no bottle opener in our room, so it remained untouched. Breakfast is fine. It's OK for one night. I would never want to stay longer.

Good average
11 days spent in this pension, family with two small children. The location is very good as we were there to enjoy our bikes (directly on the Elberadweg) and we used our car for other trips. The train station is far little bit for individual travellers (about 1,5 km). The small problem was with small breakfest room so we had to share teh table with another family - not very comfortable. The restaurant is open till 10 pm but every evening it looked like we are not welcomed there more then half of hour before closing time so if you would like to spend some time in this pension, you will go to bed soon :) The family room was quite nice, with wonderful terace. You can hear the trains in the room but the windows are good and the trains are not operated during the night. I see as small problem the room was cleaned only if we put the sign "please make up the room" on the door, the bedclothes were not changed once during our stay. None of the staff can speak english except one really impertinent young girl which told us we are bothering her with our coffee request one hour before closing time. However the rest of staff was friendly and helpful, sometimes slow.. The meal was good, nothing light as typical for this region. Barbecue Thursdays we can strictly recommend! There is large children playground beside the restaurant and the Elbefreitzeitland - the small children amusement park as well (try the labyrinth!). In conclusion - if you search the place for you and your children, in the middle of beautiful part of nature, you don´t search the comfort and you like to spend the evenings in your room - this pension is the right place for you.

Tolles Zimmer, mit schöner Aussicht. Leckeres Essen im Restaurant.
Spontan für zwei Nächte ein DZ gebucht.
Wunderschöne Lage mit Blick auf die Elbe.
Das Zimmer war sehr sauber.
Das Essen im dazugehörigen Restaurant war sehr gut.
Das Personal an der Rezeption war Spitze.
Hier komm ich gern mal wieder her.
Dann aber länger.

Kurzurlaub zu Pfingsten
Wir hatten was bezahlbares gesucht und gefunden. Die Zimmer sind gut, es ist alles da und am morgen mit dem Blick aufs Wasser ist fast unbezahlbar. Die Inhaber sind zu jeder Zeit hilfsbereit und das Personal im Restaurant ist freundlich und aufmerksam.
Frühstück ist auch gut und für jeden was dabei. Das Abendessen ist auch zu empfehlen. Um die Unterkunft herum ist ausreichend viel für Groß und Klein. Spielplatz, Tischtennis. Dazu viele freie Liegen zum verweilen am Wasser.
Nebenan ist auch noch ein kleiner Freizeitpark der bis Oktober geöffnet hat und bei unserem Besuch auch noch am verschönern war.
Wir waren jetzt das erste Mal da und der klare Vorteil ist dabei, das es in jede Richtung zu den Ausflügen nicht weit ist. Selbst der Bhf ist zu Fuß im 20min. machbar um dann auch durchaus nach Dresden oder Pirna zu fahren. Auf dem Weg sind noch für die Rückfahrt 2, 3 Lokale um sich zu stärken oder den erlebnisreichen Tag ausklingen zu lassen bei Essen, Getränke oder auch Cocktails.
Wir kommen garantiert wieder.
Campingplatz ist mit inbegriffen und können mit im Restaurant Frühstücken sowie Abendessen.
