The cleaning service banged on our door at 10am and came into our room (check out is at 11am) - minus one star.
A cockroach nymph was jumping around my purse when we were getting ready to leave - minus one star.
It was fine for one night - after seeing the cockroach, we won't be staying there again.

Booked pillows were not delivered, slept poorly, price-performance ratio was terrible.
Additionally, we had ordered two neck support pillows and paid an extra 20 € for two nights, but the pillows were not in the rooms upon our arrival. We communicated via WhatsApp with a central office in Munich and had to do without the pillows on the first night, as there was no staff on site anymore. Had I known this, we would have brought two pillows from home and at least slept well. Unfortunately, the first night was a total disaster.
On the second day, there was again a lengthy WhatsApp communication, in which it was first stated that no pillows would be provided, which turned out to be a mistake on the part of the central office, after which we were assured that the pillows would be placed in our room. Unfortunately, it was only one pillow, which was not a neck support pillow, but a completely normal and quite soft one.
Now I dread the second night with poor sleep and especially a four-and-a-half-hour drive back by car tomorrow, as I usually like to start long car trips well-rested and not completely exhausted.
If one considers a hotel without a reception and staff as a concept, I personally see this concept as a complete failure. Why, despite saving on staff salaries, such prices for the rooms are still charged remains a mystery to me.
Conclusion: We would gladly return to Leipzig, but I will not choose a McDreams hotel in any city in the world again. Since a point is the minimal rating, I am giving this one for cleanliness.

danke, dass Du Dir die Zeit für dieses ausführliche Feedback genommen hast. Bitte entschuldige die enttäuschende Erfahrung rund um die bestellten Nackenstützkissen und die Umstände mit der Kommunikation. Dass die Kissen bei Anreise fehlten, Du in der ersten Nacht verzichten musstest und am zweiten Tag nur ein unpassendes Kissen im Zimmer lag, ist frustrierend – vor allem, wenn eine erholsame Nacht vor einer langen Rückfahrt wichtig ist. Deinen Hinweis nehmen wir sehr ernst und geben ihn direkt an unser Dream Team weiter, damit Abläufe bei Vorbestellungen und die Abstimmung zwischen Zentrale und Haus klarer und verlässlicher greifen.
Auch Deine Einschätzung zu Preis‑Leistung und zum personalarmen Konzept haben wir aufmerksam gelesen. Preise können je nach Datum und Nachfrage variieren; wir verstehen, dass sich das in Deinem Fall nicht stimmig angefühlt hat. Dein Eindruck hilft uns, Erwartung und Erlebnis besser zusammenzubringen.
Es freut uns zumindest, dass die Sauberkeit gepasst hat. Wir würden uns wünschen, Dich bei einer nächsten Reise mit einem deutlich runderen, entspannteren Aufenthalt zu überraschen.

Overpriced…
The cost of the hotel was hugely expensive for such a simple place. It didn’t even have Air Conditioning which was a problem on such a hot day (31deg C).
This was a bad case of price gouging!!
