Hotel Stralsund accommodation
Nice reception and contact, earlier check-in (2h) before 3 pm was possible,
renovated rooms and attractive furniture matching the ambience of the old town flair, good and quiet sleep quality, everything available and functional, nice service through provided drinks and coffee/tea
gladly again
Breakfast was good and plentiful, fresh offer of egg dishes

Wait until summer before staying here
We had a spacious twin room on the top floor with a microwave and a dishwasher. The room had three radiators, one of which worked for 30 minutes only. The others did not work at all. We told the receptionist who said he would see if he could do anything. He didn’t.
The reception closes at 20.00. We sat in woolly hats all evening and I kept my coat on as well. We went to bed in our full day clothes.
There is no bar but there is a vending machine. I bought a bottle of beer. There is no bottle opener on the machine. I asked the receptionist if there was a bottle-opener in the room and he replied “There should be”. Like the heat that should be, it wasn’t there. Ironically, I then realised that the hotel had given us two bottles of water that required a bottle opener!
At check-out, I explained the problems to a gentleman who said that he was the proprietor and that he and his wife had taken over the hotel only two weeks previously. He was horrified that the receptionist had not told him of the problem the previous evening and waived the parking fee. I hope that the new ownership has a beneficial effect on the hotel.

Not recommended
As soon as you turned on water, there was a funny smell right away!
The beds were very uncomfortable, the sheets already had holes and in the bed were hair to be found.
Besides, I understood every single word from the next room.
Not recommended!
