Gladly again

Super convenient location, rooms and beds good, quiet despite proximity to the subway. Staff very friendly, the breakfast troupe is especially good, very helpful and really trying --> make sure you treat them well and pay accordingly, you will gladly come back. Breakfast was really good!

Not advisable

Unfortunately, I had very bad experiences with the Hotel Flora. I got the impression that after booking the guest is treated only as a milking cow. An example: Addressing the fact that the cost of parking is not mentioned at booking, the receptionist replied that the problem was known, there were many guests who complained about it, but so be it. Another example: a breakfast offered on the platform for 5 euros should then cost 16 euros in the hotel.
Also the room I can only describe as deficient: there is a desk in the room, in the darkest corner, without light and without a socket nearby. The only accessible outlet was an extension cable on a bedside table. If you wanted to charge the tray overnight, you had to operate the bedside lamp by plugging in and unplugging the extension cable.
Therefore for me - despite the good location of the hotel: never again !

They charged me for parking without having rented a car

During my stay, communicating with the staff was extremely difficult, as I was repeatedly told "we don't speak English", even for very simple matters. This is quite strange and problematic for a hotel that hosts international guests.
The most serious problem occurred on the day of my departure. I was informed that I had to pay an additional amount. Although I agreed to proceed with the payment, I clearly asked for an invoice. The employee again stated that she did not speak English and provided me with a document entirely in German, without any explanation.
The next day, after checking and translating the invoice, I discovered that I had been charged for parking ("parken"), a service that I did not use. I did not rent a car during my stay, nor did I use any parking facilities.

Unprofessional and naughty

Despite prior agreement to settle an outstanding bill of 250 € by the end of the month, we were denied the room on arrival.
The situation escalated completely unnecessarily: The staff on site became loud and unprofessional. To top it all off, the boss on the phone also became loud and disrespectful instead of clarifying the situation or offering a solution.
In the end we were left without accommodation and had to organize something ourselves at short notice.
Such dealing with guests is not acceptable. Unreliable, disrespectful and definitely not recommended.

Simple hotel

The hotel is within walking distance (about 30 minutes) to the Stage Apollo Theater. Unfortunately, the entrance for the hotel is not so easy to find as it is located in a residential area. The hotel looks like a former office building. Rooms were ok for one night. Unfortunately, we were not told before that you have to turn on the light switch in the room first and then turn on the floor lamp! The floor lamp in the room is the only lighting. No ceiling lamp... Since we did not notice this at night, we had to do everything in the dark. The desk lamp and the bedside lamp were missing light bulbs anyway. The next morning we made the lady at the reception aware of this. Breakfast was fine.
