Pleasant hotel with good food and nice wellness facilities

Typical German hotel with welcoming service and good food. The hotel has beautiful and extensive wellness facilities including 2 saunas, a steam bath, a herbal band and several showers and a swimming pool. The hotel decor is typically German but neatly maintained. The beds were pretty hard to sleep in.
The breakfast buffet was extensive and the dinner was always provided with a meat, fish or vegetarian dish.
With the Willlingen Plus Card you can also visit everything in the area for free: ski lifts, outdoor swimming pools, climbing hall, mini golf, museums and public transport.... Something for everyone.

Breathtaking nature and culture

The Posthotel Usseln has it. A good, comfortabele hotel with skilled staff, a great chef and in a breathtaking part of Germany. The latter both for the nature and culture.
The 'Sauerland' region of Germany offers nature and culture from spring to autumn, and winter sports in the winter. The mountain range has peaks upto 1000 meters. Many ski lifts are operational in the non-snow season too.
We booked five days/ four nights via TUI, and we are very satisfied. The region and the hotel are worth every moment.

good family hotel with many possibilities

We had booked this hotel for several days in a standard room with Half Pension. The advantage of this hotel is that there is a free car park with 2 charging stations with a capacity of 11 KW for our EV. The welcome was friendly but the general colloquial language is German. We got an upgrade to an apartment. These are not located in the hotel itself but only a few steps from the main building. The disadvantage is that there is no elevator in this building, but the apartments are very spacious. There is a large living room with kitchenette, balcony with table and 2 chairs, spacious bedroom and bathroom with separate toilet. The hotel also features an indoor pool and some saunas with rest room and scent room. There is no reservation required, but it can be busy sometimes. There is also a spacious outdoor terrace in a pleasant setting with lots of greenery.
At the breakfast buffet, everything is available: various juices, cereals and yogurt, a coffee machine with various options, all kinds of bread and coffee cakes, spreads and hot dishes, fresh fruit. For the 4-course dinner you can choose between meat, fish or vegetarian for the main course. The dishes are beautifully presented. The service is friendly but can sometimes be a bit slow.
Nearby are ample opportunities for hiking in nature reserve or along lakes. Willingen and Korbach with its many half-timbered houses are also worth a visit. We can look back on a pleasant stay.

Not recommended consider booking 2 times there

Catastrophically not recommended were there bar closes at 8 pm and at 9 pm everything dark Main entrance 11 pm already completed Seminar ran until 5 pm eat at 6 pm Swimming pool and sauna at 8 pm already had to hurry close that we could swim and use the sauna

Clean and quiet hotel - central in Usseln

We had 3 double bedrooms facing the terrace. they were very quiet and very clean. The hotel is older and therefore has been built and rebuilt more often. Unfortunately, there is no elevator to the first floor, but the staff offers to carry the suitcases. The dining room is very nicely decorated, flooded with light and equipped with fireplace. The breakfast is excellent and the dinner is also very good, but also a bit more expensive. The wellness area is good and the swimming pool is large. Unfortunately, the water in the swimming pool is a bit too cold. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel is centrally located in Usseln and many other cafés and restaurants are nearby and the area offers many excursions.
