Charming

Hotels like Zur Traube is a major reason why I like touring on my bike in Germany. It is the opposite of a big soul less chain hotel. Here I felt like a regular even though it was my first stay. My evening included playing with charming one year old Lea and talking about everyday life with her mother, the receptionist. Also clean and with safe parking for my motorbike.

Little decrepit, faded glory

Of course it depends on your expectations, but don't expect much, there is no occupation, no reception, no bar, no lobby, no drinks or snack machine in the evening, so you have to go across the street, to a supermarket to eat or drink something, because there was no bar open at that time. Room old, small television and old bathroom, where you shower in the bath, where you can not stand upright because of the sloping roof. Breakfast, fold does its best and was fine in itself. To the room is paying attention, tangle of corridors and stairs... For me, it's not worth repeating.

Quaint, small but clean

Hotel is quaint and dated but very clean. Beds are small. Beds have soft matresses and they are squeaqing everytime you move. It is The same for other Rooms as well, as you can hear at night the Beds from other Rooms. If you are more than 1.8m long your feet will be in the air.
Staff is friendly.
Free Wi-Fi with password with low bandwidth (slow).
Breakfast is decent, if more people are having breakfast things run out fast. Ressuply comes but not as fast as consumption.
I had Room 11.

Nice but cramped

Nice clean warm basic hotel, but limited parking, very cramped room and basic facilities only. Staff friendly and excellent coffee and continental breakfast. Good restaurants within 10 min walk. Quiet neighbourhood

A comfortable little hotel in the middle of Velbert

This very fine hotel is situated in the middle of Velbert. It is quiet, well furnished and the service is very good. The rooms are equipped with a safe, wifi, hairdryer, TV and it is heated very well in the cold time of the year. You are surrounded by friendly service-people in a great atmosphere, have free parking lots in the yard and the breakfast is very good.
