Very nice and clean hotel in a great location for the Wörlitzer Park
It is a very nice and clean hotel and has a great location with a very short walk directly to the Wörlitz parks, the lake and various restaurants. There is also a free hotel parking lot at the back in the courtyard (very easy parking). The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a really cozy, lovingly furnished room with a nice big bathroom and a small balcony facing the street. It was very quiet in the hotel, not as noisy as modern hotel buildings. We slept really well. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and the breakfast was also good in a very pleasant large breakfast room. In general, the entire hotel is very lovingly furnished and was probably recently renovated not too long ago, which you can tell.
There is free WiFi, the code for it is given directly at check-in and it is also available in the rooms. And the WiFi/Internet works perfectly.

Woerlitz Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
I went to the Parkhotel ,Woerlitz, but did not stay there. I did enjoy the Woerlitz Park with its natural landscape and man-made lake. With a history dating back approximately 1,000 years, Woerlitz made its mark in the second half of the eighteenth century when it became home to Woerlitz Park. There are beautiful English-style gardens open to the public.

Good hotel at entrance of park
I was looking for a hotel near the garden kingdom so I could spend some time exploring it.
This part of Germany does not get visited my many international people who are not in tour groups so don't expect much English. Being a four star hotel that is not the case with the staff however information is in German, if you need help with that the staff will help.
Rooms are big and comfortable. I had some chairs and a table for the computer.
Breakfast was your german fare with a wider than normal selection of cheeses. You did have a choice between hard and soft boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. They also had sekt out if you wanted a glass.
Had supper there and it was good, the deer was really good. They do charge a little above what I would of expected from being out in the country. They a large group, conference at the hotel, and around 8 table of other people. Service was quick and attentive. Potato soup was in the local style which if you have not had before is not pureed so chunky.
Parking is a possible issue. They only have around 20 spaces, after that you have to hope for a free parking spot on the street or pay the street price of 5 euros for the day(these spots are free from 8pm to 8am). They have a printout showing the different places if needed.
Other issue was internet. I could connect with my iphone but not with my laptop. Connection speed was quick and no other issues.
If you are going to the park in the morning the castle does not open until 1000 and other places don't open until 1100.

Einmal und leider nie wieder – trotz des wunderbaren Wörlitzer Parks
Wir waren vom 17. zum 18.09.22 mit zwei Kindern im Parkhotel und fanden den Aufenthalt ziemlich ernüchternd. Bei Betreten des Zimmers lagen Schmutzfusseln auf dem Toilettendeckel. Dieser selbst hatte einige Abplatzer und aufgequollene Stellen. Zudem begrüßte uns eine große Spinne in der Wanne. Ein Handtuch hatte keinen Aufhänger, eines war ziemlich zerschlissen, der Aufhänger fast durch. Schlimmer jedoch fanden wir den Türrahmen der Badtür. Es sah so aus, als sei das Schloss mal herausgebrochen. Dies birgt erhebliche Verletzungsgefahr, gerade für Kinder. Im Zimmer entdeckten wir Löcher und Schmutzflecken auf der Bettwäsche und mehrere große Risse in der Gardine. Am Schlimmsten war jedoch, dass Glassplitter rund um die Sitzgruppe und teilweise im Sessel lagen. Es schien, als sei eines der Gläser zerbrochen (es standen drei auf dem Tablett für vier Personen) und nur schnell das Grobe weggeräumt worden. Es gleicht einem Wunder, dass keiner von uns hineingetreten ist/sich hineingesetzt hat und sich verletzt hat.
Auch am Morgen am Büffet waren wir enttäuscht: auf der Wurstplatte lag augenscheinlich nur Schwein, die Butter wurde auf der (Kuh)Käseplatte gereicht. Als Gemüse gab es lediglich paar Tomaten.
Alles in Allem denken wir, dass unsere Nacht die 154 EUR, die wir leider gleich beim Einchecken zahlten, nicht wert war. Schade!
Auf unsere Mail direkt am Abreisetag kam keine Reaktion, nur die automatische Mail, man freue sich über Bewertungen.
Das hauseigene Restaurant scheint dem äußeren Eindruck nach schon lange geschlossen zu sein.
Im Hotel lag Werbung vom „Hotel zum Gondoliere“ sowie von „Restaurant und Pension zum hauenden Schwein“. Diese gehören denselben Inhabern, die Gäste der Pension frühstücken wahrscheinlich mit im Hotel (bei uns waren deutlich mehr Esser als Betten).

Solides Mittelklassehaus
Parken kann man auf dem Hotelgelände, der Empfang ist freundlich. Der Wörlitzer Park ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Mein geräumiges Doppelzimmer im ersten Stock bietet viel Stauraum in Schrank und Kommode. Das TV verfügt über eine gute Senderauswahl, bei den Radiostationen ist leider kein Infosender gelistet. Das WLAN ist ok, aber die Bandbreite ist nicht streamingfähig.
Im Bad gibt es eine große Sitzbadewanne unter der Dachschräge. Das ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, funktioniert aber gut. Gäste mit längeren Haaren sollten ihren eigenen Fön mitbringen. Das Frühstück ist gut ausgestattet, der Kaffee aus der großen Pumpkanne sehr stark.
Im Bad gibt es eine große Sitzbadewanne unter der Dachschräge. Das ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, funktioniert aber gut. Gäste mit längeren Haaren sollten ihren eigenen Fön mitbringen. Das Frühstück ist gut ausgestattet, der Kaffee aus der großen Pumpkanne sehr stark.
