Realy nice hotel

Stay last year in this hotel .
Very clean he staff was realy friendly.The location of the hotel is very good down of the bridge of Rio and the centrum of Rio is about 200 meter from the hotel.
Hight reccomanded for the days of carnaval in Patras when the other hotels are full booked and the prices are very high this hotel keep the prices low.

Clean, good environment for his money. No insulation between rooms. We were not at all quiet by the excessive bustle

The neighbors were weird. Come out all night, various people, lots of trouble. I hope he doesn't gather bad people... The noise from the bridge, almost zero with closed windows. The owners are polite. The room was clean. Basic benefits. Towels, cream soap, hairdresser.

Ok hotel if you need to be in the area

I picked this hotel because I needed to be close by for a conference at the university, otherwise I would not have picked it (I have to say some locals acted a bit weird when I said where I was staying as well, so I was suspicious). To be honest, while the hotel does not have much charm, I found my room to be perfectly clean and all appliances in working order. I also appreciated the quietness of the hotel (I was probably one of the only guests) and the fact that my room had a balcony. Despite on the map the hotel is in walking distance of Rio and university, I needed taxi's because the roads are very dark and the hotel is not easy to find - but reception was very helpful with calling me a cab every time, which arrived promptly. Breakfast was basic but not bad.

Disgusting hotel

We stayed here for one night on our way to Epirus from Athens. We chose the hotel because it had parking facilities and was easy to reach from the main road. We arrived late at night but had called in advance to let the hotel know we were on our way. When we arrived the was first of all no parking available - the parking areas was full of cars. They obviously let locals park there as we were the only guests in the hotel, so they cars couldn't belong to other guests. When we went up to our room, I was not pleased with how we found it, but we were so tired and needed to rest, and we didn't know where else to go at that time of night so we stayed. Firstly, the room had a disgusting smell - stale and dirty. There was a large cockroach crawling over our bathroom towels. The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned - there were dirty marks. The bedcovers had revolting stains on them. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was that it had a refrigerator, but on inspection, it wasn't plugged in, and when we did connect it up, we found it to be broken. On further inspection, the inside of the fridge had dirty marks and there was a half empty orange juice from previous guests. I barely slept because the room felt and smelled so unclean. I wasn't keen to have breakfast the next morning, but went to try it. It was a very poor offering. Coffee, orange juice, cheap toasted bread, and 1 slice of mortadella and one slice of edam between two people. This hotel cost 55 euros for the night. Not a fortune, but I'd still expect a basic level of cleanliness. Places like this do not deserve custom and should be shut down. There is no excuse for this poor level of service. We complained to the hotel staff in the morning but they were not interested.

Only if this is your only choice

I would avoid this hotel if at all possible. The reception area is dirty and filled with potted plants that need care. The initial impression is one of inattention. The person who welcomed us was smoking a cigarette - apparently not aware of the offensive smell and smoke. Rooms not clean as expected. That's about it.
