Two nights with my son

I spent two nights with my son to introduce him to the area where he was born and raised the first year of life. We had a great time. A really quiet and clean place. I recommend it!!

SUGGEST TO READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING.

We erroneously made a reservation here wrongly judging from the map on booking.com that it is in the center of Plakias .
Damnoni Paradise is an oasis of peace and tranquility located in the middle of nowhwhere in the fields of tall bushes, about 2,5 km from Plakias. It reminds of a retreat for yoga people where you are only allowed to whisper and pray. You will not survive over here without the car unless you want to sit and meditate with "mother nature". The only place quiter than this would probably be a cemetary.
An ideal place to sleep if only the matresses were softer . But a painkiller pill will almost guarantee you a good night sleep .
The hotel manager knocked on our door at midnight (minutes after we came from a dinner) to close a miniature window on the entry door . She also says The ACs shold not be set below 26C as apparently there is some new law (?) in Greece to save on energy ? (couldn't find it on Google). Also, the AC can not be used at night as "mother nature does not like it". We booked and paid for the room with AC but now we can not use it. Booking.com tried to call here but without an answer.
Janette- the manager , whispers so low that a hearing aid would be a good thing to have with you.
I had more freedom and "paradise" in the military than we have here .
Ideal for those who want to experience the life of Robinson Crusoe on a deserted island.
Please do not say I didn't warn you

A favorite

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Crete...
The lady at reception was really lovely and gave very good advice. The rooms are surrounded by a lush garden where everything is calm and peaceful. We feel like home. For convenience, the hotel is located not far from the Preveli monastery, its palm beach and Plakias. If we have to return to Cete, this is where we will come back!

The best of all worlds

The hotel was ideally situated close to Damnoni beach and the nearby tavernas and only a few minutes drive from Plakias. The welcome and service was extremely warm, the breakfast tasty, the gardens relaxing and the rooms well equipped. It is also a good base for exploring further afield, places like Agia Galini and Rethymnon. Most of all we will remember the calm and tranquility and all within proximity of such a vibrant beach.

Tropical Welcome Close to Superb Beach

The staff were very helpful and the owner welcomed us with a Raki. Palms, green lawns and lush vegetation located between two bamboo-lined small rivers gives this accommodation a tropical feel. The ground floor rooms are a little dark due to the vegetation and overhang of the first floor rooms, which are much lighter. The sliding inner door dividing kitchen and bathroom from the bedroom gave the split room decor a Japanese feel added to by the silk-like loose covering to the ceiling and wall and wood surrounds. There was a kettle provided and a two electric plate table top cooker/oven and all cutlery for two and small shared areas at the back and front with table and chairs. Two free sun loungers were available to share between four as the apartment had interconnecting doors with that adjacent. The double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was tiled and reasonably well fitted, water pressure was ok. It was only 300 metres to what must be one of the best authentic sandy beaches on Crete. Breakfast was available for a small extra charge. This is a great place to stay as it is near to the beach, reasonably priced, quiet and shady, allowing shelter from the hot summer sun.
