Perfect for us
We were looking for good value basic clean and quiet apartments, with friendly helpful owners and that's just what we got.
Dimitra and George made us feel welcome and were friendly, helpful and approachable and even waited up for us to arrive at 2 in the morning on our arrival.
Our room was typical 2 star Greek, clean and basic but with everything we needed. Its location being just off the main road so quiet yet within 10 minutes walk of the main square and yes do use the many cut-troughs to the seafront which is a beautiful walk to the harbour. Being on the ground floor we did not get the views but had a very pleasant secluded front veranda for sitting outside and a sun trap rear outside area which we just used for hanging out washing.
We hope to return soon.

Nice but disappointing
The room, location and area are all lovely- as are the owners, making us feel welcomed. However, for a ‘self catering’ apartment there is no utensils other than one knife, fork and spoon for me and my boyfriend nor is there any dish soap to clean the plates, which there was only like 2 of. No actual cooking utensils which makes it very difficult to cook anything on only a stovetop without needing to buy items. The place is nice enough but I was not impressed with such few amenities. I’d come back if I knew there would be dish soap, a dish towel, and utensils to actually cook with.

Quiet, basic, excellent location. Hosts very friendly
Positives
Location was very central, near to all restaurants, marina , walks available, mostly flat.
Atmosphere . Quiet surroundings although off busy road.
Studio Rooms were basic, clean, bedding and towels smelt very fresh. Towels changed every four days, bedding once a week.
No shower holder. A/C efficient.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful

Good Value
Dimitra and George are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The studio we had was basic (normal for Greece) and clean. Towels were changed twice during the week. The building is situated in a quiet area of Elounda so it is a good 15 minute walk to the centre. This may be a problem for some or maybe not. For what we paid we felt we had value for money and enjoyed our stay.

Great location
We stayed for a week mid September. This is basic accommodation run by a friendly and helpful couple, George and Dimitris, who will help with anything they can, plenty of local knowledge and very happy to chat and help.
The location of the apartments is good, it is just set back from the main road through Elounda so is quiet and there are nice mountain views too. It is a 2 minute walk to the sea front and some restaurants, and a lovely, along the seafront walk, to the main square and harbour (tip -go down the left hand side of the supermarket on the opposite side of the main road, ignoring the access only to hotel residents and restaurant customers. It is a shady alley way and you do not need to go into either establishment, and avoids the road which mainly has no footpath and is a much nicer and safer route to the harbour). Shops, bars restaurants at harbour and the main beach about 10/15 minutes flat,easy walk and with stunning views.
The accommodation allows you access all Elounda and surrounding area has to offer, and if like us, you simply want a base which can allow you to breakfast on your balcony before spending most of the day exploring or on the beach, then to shower and change before heading out for a restaurant or taverna, and peaceful accommodation to sleep before breakfast and the next days activities, this place is ideal. If you are looking for more luxury then you need to pay more and probably lose the authentic Greek feel. The apartments have a very basically equipped kitchen, adequate (if not powerful) hairdryer,Aircon (extra payment) and a safe if you feel the need for one. Cleaned 3 times weekly, we emptied our own bins once as we felt it was needed and the owners (who were mostly on site in the day)provided new bin liners.
For the price ( it is typical Greek budget accommodation) we have no complaints at all and if it’s the type of accommodation you are looking for, have no hesitation recommending Argyros apartments as a great location to explore and sample Elounda and surrounding area.
