Fantastic
We had a wonderful stay at Amada Colossos Resort! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options, and the pool was stunning, creating an amazing and relaxing experience. Everything was clean, well organized, and the staff was always friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Bernadette from the Asian restaurant, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely love to come back!

Excellent food and well-organised dining, but overall the resort felt overcrowded and did not meet our expectations.
Our Experience at Amada Colossos Resort
We stayed at Amada Colossos Resort as a family in July 2026. The hotel is advertised as a five-star resort, and the following review reflects our experience during an eight-day ultra all-inclusive stay.
For comparison, I have stayed at dozens of five-star hotels in Crete, Cyprus, Corfu, Halkidiki and other destinations.
Food
I have no complaints about the food. There was an excellent selection of dishes from breakfast through to dinner.
The system of having staff escort guests to tables according to the size of their group worked very well, so finding a place to sit during meals was never a problem.
Rooms
The rooms are rather small, which probably contributes to the hotel feeling overcrowded beyond a comfortable level.
There is no coffee machine in the room for guests who would like an early-morning coffee, and the refrigerator contained only two bottles of water.
Relaxation Areas and Swimming Pools
Considering that the resort has 699 accommodation units, the available relaxation space is insufficient. There is also almost no greenery or landscaped park area.
Finding a place to sit in the evening can be difficult. The adults-only evening bar, where children are not permitted either indoors or outdoors, is often half-empty, while families with children generally have nowhere else to sit.
Of the four swimming pools, two are intended for children, while the other two have a depth of 140 cm.
The pool water remained cold throughout the day. Apart from the early-morning hours, proper swimming was almost impossible because balls were constantly flying overhead and various activities were taking place in the pools.
The water slides in the hotel’s water park were disappointing for teenagers. Only one slide was operating at a time, resulting in long queues.
The biggest problem was the shortage of sun loungers around the pools. Unless you left your room with towels before approximately 7:30 a.m., you had virtually no chance of getting one, despite the hotel’s stated policy prohibiting guests from reserving loungers.
Beach and Sea
The beach is pebbly, so some guests may find water shoes necessary.
In my opinion, the beach is not particularly suitable for children, as the water depth varies considerably and can become deep very close to the shore.
The sea remained cold throughout the day. However, guests who do not mind colder water and wear suitable water shoes can enjoy plenty of space for swimming.
The sun loungers on the beach were very basic and dirty, and some of them were even damaged.
Overall Impression
Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot consider this resort to be of a genuine five-star standard, and I would not choose to stay there again

Room was spotlessly clean, and view from veranda to the sea and pool was heart-melting.
Entertainments through out the day was amazing for children and also adults! VICTORIA and ALEX who ran the activities were faultless, so much energy and fun, all through day and night.
Live music of beautiful voices of singers and specially the Saxophone player was speechless.
Staffs on buffet was so friendly and was looked after so well. Specially IGOR, who was so sweet with children and very kind. Always had time to talk to children even in busy times. Children want to come back to see IGOR and VICTORIA again!!
These touches made the holiday unforgettable and kept the smile on our faces.
After check out, Hotel also offered 1 hour room use to have shower and change before our late night flight so we can use the pool and beach all day.
Definitely will come back to this place next year.

Fantastic holiday!!
Location was great, it’s a 10 euro trip away from faliraki town.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and it had very chilled vibes. The restaurant whilst busy, was also chilled, with no rush to get us in and town due to busy hotel.
Staff: Main desk - fantastic help.
Pool staff: Always looked after the kids, I didn’t catch his name, but the big guy (lifeguard) was incredibly kind! He found us a float for our 18 month old.
The brunette lady lifeguard was always on the go making sure everyone was safe, takes her job seriously which is good. She claimed my daughter couldn’t swim due to falling off a float, she wouldn’t listen to me when I said she can clearly swim, but otherwise she was great.
Majority of staff were great. Yasa in restaurant! Most mornings when we were put in his section, we were happy and knew we were going to be looked after. He was always sufficient, friendly, quick and wanted to help!
The entertainers were great, all had fantastic voices, Sigrid - my daughter Georgina loved this young girl from Sweden, who also had a fantastic voice and was amazing with my daughter.
She had a lovely moment with Georgina at the end of the holiday when we told Sigrid we were going home. Sigrid sat with her in the pool for ages before she went off. Very cute and sweet of her. Georgina will miss you, if you see this Sigrid.
Food was fantastic and keeping buffer food hot is a challenge, but generally did a good job. The chicken was always dry, but otherwise decent. On Asian night, you have so much salmon going each morning, use it on the sushi!
The snack bar was fantastic by the beach!!
Negative: you struggle for a bed in the morning at the main pool. They need to assess this asap. Most 5 star hotels give you a bed reserved for your stay. This one lets you fight it out, even though there are signs on main reception not to secure a bed early, people ignore it. Some days, for hours a bed would have a towel on it and not be used. This is the most annoying thing. We went to the water park instead, as we could always get a bed at 10am. Saying that, I went down today at 10:30am and couldnt get one. There are chairs and tables if you don’t get a bed, which I didn’t mind. Saying all this, it’s a 5 star hotel, but more beds!!
Waterpark - the kid waterpark was slightly disappointing as it’s 1.2m for every ride and my daughter was 1.1m, it should clearly say this when you book it on Jet2. The waterpark water guns were either broken or dribble out water. The water pressure it poor.
Overall it was a great holiday, little overpriced for what is was and because of the negatives, but definitely 5 star!

Nice resort
We had a pleasant stay at this resort. On the positive side, the location is good - bus stops located outside the hotel mean you can use public transport to local sites of interest.
The pool area is busy but there is an abundance of sun loungers at the beach, so that didn’t bother us. The beach is a rocky one so water shoes are a must.
The main restaurant was good but it is worth avoiding busy periods, which are on screens behind reception staff. The food is typical of an all inclusive. The staff are very courteous and helpful.
We had a negative experience in the Italian restaurant, having travelled extensively around the world we have never encountered the type of behaviour we received from 2 senior members of staff that seem to be in charge there- rude and arrogant. In comparison I would highly commend the Asian restaurant, Vasilis in particular went over and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. He was an absolute star!
There are local shops dotted around, so you can go out for an evening stroll and have a browse which we did.
Rooms are basically functional, with seating only provided on the balcony. Fridge only has water replenished daily.
I wouldn’t say this is a five star luxury resort - especially in comparison to actual five star resorts we have stayed in.
