Fantastic hotel — highly recommended despite small downsides
We had a great stay at Anseli Hotel overall — the hotel itself is lovely and spotlessly clean, with housekeeping coming every day which was fantastic. The staff were absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful every single time! They even gave us nice little complimentary treats throughout our stay, such a lovely touch. Whenever we needed anything or had questions, or even help booking a taxi, they were always happy to assist straight away.
The food was excellent — really delicious and very generous portions, more than enough for everyone. The pool area was perfect too, the kids absolutely loved it and spent the whole day there! You could order drinks right to the poolside and they stayed nice and cold for ages. Since the local beach is pebbly, having such a good pool and great food on-site meant we didn’t even need to travel into Rhodes town — everything we needed was right here! There was also a billiards table which the children really enjoyed playing too.
The only downsides: We had booked a transfer service, but we were very disappointed — the driver did NOT take us all the way to the hotel entrance, instead dropped us off far away night time with two young children and all our luggage we had to arrange our own taxi the rest of the way — we didn’t even wait, just booked another one straight away. Also, planes fly directly over the hotel roughly every 20 minutes and they are extremely loud — quite noisy especially during the day.
Apart from those two things we were very happy and would still recommend — the staff, food, pool and cleanliness make up for it a lot!

Highly recommend
We arrived here late on the 17th june for a 10 night stay, even though the restaurant was closed Litza made us pizza for which we were very grateful (long day travelling), this family run hotel treats guest like family and nothing is too much bother, we had a brilliant time and to be honest, the hotel was so lovely we hardly left, we spent most of our days lying by the pool and eating in house (food is homemade and delicious) ,the other guests are extremely friendly too and im not surprised many of them return year after year.
Recommendations: take plenty of mossie stuff, the mossies are relentless.
Highlight of our time there: everything
Regrets: i forgot to leave a tip for the cleaners, i will not forget next time.

A fabulous little family run hotel with delicious food! Well worth a visit.
What a gem of a hotel. Run by a lovely family, clean, comfortable and quiet. The food is exceptionally good, so we only ate out twice. Kremasti isn't touristy at all which is nice but Rhodes is only a 20 minute bus ride away. It's family run and they can't do enough for you. Lisa, Neff and Ana looked after our meal times and the wonderful Dimitri kept the beverages flowing on an evening. We've already booked to go back next year, definitely give it a visit!

Relaxing
Cannot recommend highly enough. It's a small, simple hotel with such friendly staff. No problem getting sun beds at any time of day. Pool is lovely. Food is excellent and very good value. Rooms are simple, beds comfortable and lots hot water. Such a lovely relaxing holiday.

Beautiful family run hotel
Reviews on here aren't far wrong the Anseli hotel is a wonderful family run hotel. The Michael family ( Lula, Angela & Litsa) all do an amazing job of keeping everyone happy. Lula & Angela at reception will answer any enquiries help with external bookings eg; car hire,taxis. Litsa & team will serve you food from breakfast all the way to evening meals, poolside snacks and drinks a plenty.. Some ppl complain about the airplanes as we are on the flightpath into Diagoras airport but you soon forget about the planes and generally end up looking to see what's coming next.. Kremasti village is only a 10 minute walk away where there are some fabulous restaurants to eat, (Yianni's, Kalagris, Myrovolos, Antonis, Canton) bus into Rhodes town is easy to use to straight to the centre for an easy walk around the new or old town.. Kremasti beach is also around a 10 minute walk away but is quite stoney so beach shoes highly recommended.
