Place to recharge and pray/meditate. Pet friendly, very clean, good enertgy, cats, silence. They don t have kitchen,

First of all, It looks moooore better in reality than pictures. It’s a feeling once you step inside.
This is is not writen anywhere, but this place si a sanctuary.
Silence, energy, cats, all you need.
Ps. It’s PET FRIENDLY♥️
An ancient village of over 2000 years, full of history.
Very clean rooms, towels, soap, shower gel, tea.
There is no place for , so it will be better if you have some food at you.
You have tables, where you can stay in silence and enjoy your snack.
They have places where you can pray/meditate. You should ask The owner The entire history of this place.

Amazing hotel in beautiful and historical place

Hotel “Akontisma” is situated in the east end of Nea Karvali (near Kavala) in the slopes of the hill buried in greenery. The place is rich with history, because here in the past there was ancient settlement with sanctuary and amphitheater. In vicinity during the Middle Ages was situated Akontísmatos Castle. Again here in the 20th years of XX century was built the first village of the Greek refugees from Cappadocia. Nowadays here is created one excellent hotel surrounded of many relics from the past. The hotel offers to the guest many independent houses situated around one historical central square with old chapel Saint Mamas, old coffee-shop and one monumental marble building – The Thesaurus of the Cappadocians. On the top of the hill there is a small church devoted to the Ascension of Jesus Christ and relics of the ancient Forum with unforgettable view to Thassos Island and Keramoti. All the houses have a spacious living room and romantic terraces. The houses offer to the guests all modern facilities for one pleasant sojourn. The breakfast is rich and it is served on the wide terrace with amazing view to the ancient amphitheater, Nea Karvali and its seaside. For the guests, which would like to organize a dinner I could propose to use the restaurant of the close situated Camping Alexandros (1 km.) where will find different dishes with good quality and if someone want to add dessert to the menu then my advice is to visit the sweet shop of Iosifidis Prodromos next to the hotel. About those who are interested in history and religion, there is the possibility to visit the main landmarks in Nea Karvali - the famous church “St. Gregory” in which is kept the relics of Saint Gregory the Theologian one of the greatest saints of the early Christendom.

Authenticity

I have read the opinions of other travelers on TripAdvisor, but our expectations have been exceeded. The village is amazing, the Kaplanis family very welcoming and the accommodation conditions were very good, keeping the perfume of authenticity.

Akontisma Village

Akontisma Village& Hotel offers the following facilities:
free wifi, at the public area;
free bottle of water and all necessary equipments in the room to prepare coffee and tee (each bags per person);
clean rooms;
- The rooms don`t have TV sets.
-you can serve only breakfast and other restaurants are not so close.
I recommend for a night or two.
The owners are kind and friendly. It is a pleasure to talk about the historical buildings, the way of life ....

Ruhumuza iyi gelecek bir köy: Akontisma.

Tarihi 700 yıl öncesine dayanan, aslına uygun bir şekilde restore edilmiş otantik bir köy. Zaman tünelinde geçmişe bir yolculuk yapmak, kafa dinlemek, huzur bulmak için ideal. Üstelik denize ve plajlara arabayla 2 dakika mesafede. Bu güzel köyü restore etmiş olan, ev sahibimiz Kapadokya’dan göçmüş bilge insan Kaplanis beye de misafirperverliği ve bize verdiği unutulmaz uygulamalı tarih dersi için ayrıca müteşekkiriz. Dünyanın pek çok yerini gezdik, huzuru Akontisma’da bulduk.
