Superb location.

Great little hotel. Yes it is a 3 star so no frills but it's a good 3 star. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are very spacious with a nice balcony. Cleaner do a great job cleaning the rooms daily. Breakfast is perfect, plentiful. Amazing location stones throw away from the a nice sandy beach and is pretty much in the heart of the really pretty and quaint authentic Greek village. Where do I start with Panormos village it's is just fab such an authentic Greek feel. Amazing food in one of the many taverns and very friendly locals. Rethymno is a 40 min journey on the local bus and well worth a trip. If you are looking for a chill out holiday in a peaceful authentic Greek village well then this hotel fits the bill.

Cheaters and scammers!!!!

This guys are scammers and cheated on me!I have booked the deluxe room with a sea view and on the website it shows me the room in the hotel!When I arrived,receptionist told me I got upgraded to the appartment which is outside of the hotel.
What a joke!!!It was apartments Christina which you can book separately on booking.com!I saw it before and didnt wanted to stay there as I didnt liked it!
She showed me the “apartment” - it was sticky,smelly and it smells like urine everywhere!!!Carbage box was total dirty inside,check in my photos.Bathroom absolute dirt.
I told her this is not what I was paid and she said they dont have a room for me!!!
Absolute nonsens!!!Cheaters!!!
Even room service didnt come to this cave what they call appartment!Never more!!!!

Mixed Feelings.

I have a somewhat jaundiced view of this hotel after they charged me €70 to keep my room till 17:30 on my last day. I have never paid more than €35 at any other hotel. On the plus side, when I arrived late at night, I received a warm welcome from the lovely Irini who poured me a very welcome Mythos and organised a kettle for me. The best aspect of this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and special thanks go to Irini and the other receptionist, and barman Mikkel ( sorry, I'm sure I've misspelt that) who chatted to me in the evenings.
My room was a decent size, although the balcony was incredibly narrow. I didn't have any clothes dryer, but the people next door did. There was no privacy partition either. There was adequate storage and even a deep shelf in the bathroom, which was very useful. The safe cost €4 per day, which was well worth it for the peace of mind. The less said about the breakfasts, the better. The staff were lovely but the food was not. The clientele appeared to be mainly German, and the food reflected that. That also meant that the books left near Reception were mainly German too. The pool area didn't have many sunbeds, but it wasn't a very big pool anyway. It also didn't get much sun, which was possibly why not many people used it. There wasn't a pool bar as such, but there was a downstairs bar, and Mikkel was always keeping a watchful eye on the pool area, ready to take drinks orders. The rooftop bar is open from 5pm to 11pm.
The hotel location is very good; to the left of the hotel, a few metres to the beach but down a slightly steep hill and steps. I did see a brave lady come down the steps on crutches, but I wouldn't have dared. There are sunbeds, a Taverna, and showers here. There is another beach in the harbour which is more accessible but didn't have sunbeds. The nearest supermarket is just a couple of minutes to the right of the hotel and there are numerous restaurants and bars in the village, especially around the harbour. It's an actual Greek village and not a purpose built resort like so many others. To sum it up, mixed feelings about the hotel. It just wasn't what I wanted and, being in my eighties, the way to the beach was fraught with danger. I enjoyed the people and the rest of the area, although I was a bit miffed when I had to pull my suitcase up a short hill and along a road to the church in order to to pick up my coach to the airport. Good old Tui, again.

Clean and well placed but watch out for the extra child!

Quite simple, but very clean, and friendly staff. Breakfast is not very well provided. We were upgraded to a junior suite seen swimming pool instead of our sea view room but we had the unpleasant surprise of paying an extra €30/day for our 12 year old teen because children over 2 years old are paying extra while we had booked a room for 3 with existing bedding for 3 people and without any mention of this extra by Expedia at booking!

Normal 3*hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel is hard 3* clean. Half board was taken. Breakfasts correspond to 3* , yogurt, eggs, jam, honey, bread, feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, muffins ,croissant, cookies 2 kinds, dates, prunes, watermelon and melon, we had enough who wanted a lot of food and there were opportunities then in 4* near the chic Greco hotel where everything is all inclusiveDinner of course I wouldn't advise anyone to take in this hotel, the hotel gives a map of the Tavern on the menu there are only potatoes and pasta and meat, schnitzel, the choice is small, vegetables not available, not suitable for vegans... They bring one small salad and a bottle of water, the rest for money. I give credit to the tavern owner for making concessions and bringing me Greek feta salad every night, since I don't eat the food on the menu. If I come to this hotel, it's only with breakfast, and dinner goes to other restaurants there are a lot of them. There are many gift shops, 2 supermarkets nearby.
The beach liked it, the sand descended to the sea by stairs.
