Featuring views of the Ionian Sea from all of its elegant rooms, Orizontes View Hotel is 500 metres from the scenic Katakolo village. A stylish snack bar is available. Guests are offered free bicycles.

Wonderful little hotel with a great view.
We are currently staying for three nights in this hotel and are absolutely thrilled!
The rooms are a good size and are very tastefully and modernly furnished. Ours, number 201 on the 2nd floor. The stock has a wonderful four-poster bed, not only beautiful but also quite wide and with a very good mattress.
We also like the bathroom, which is modernly styled and has a large shower. The air conditioning works perfectly. We have one of the rooms that faces the harbor.
The hotel is located on a hill, high above the harbor, where cruise ships dock for visits to Olympia. From the balcony, one can wonderfully watch the hustle and bustle.
There is a café-bar with a large terrace offering drinks and a selection of snacks. According to the website, there will also be a restaurant starting June 15, but that is not the case. The café is supposedly frequented by locals on weekends due to its great location; I am not sure about that, but I would find it nice. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with freshly squeezed orange juice and various types of eggs, along with everything one needs.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel!
A small downside is that if one wants to walk down to the town - and especially back up - one must take a very steep paved footpath, 90% of the lights of which are broken.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk down and a strenuous quarter of an hour to walk back up. We are both over 70 and did this every evening, so it is doable!
Unfortunately, there are no taxis in the evening; you only see them during the stay of the cruise ships. There are many shops in the town, most of which only open when a cruise ship is there.
However, there are also plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants open in the evening. Our restaurant recommendation:
"Mouragio 1983 from Ilia." Directly on the small promenade, with very good fresh fish and seafood.

Definitely worth a visit
I started to the hotel for a couple of nights while visiting Pyrgos/Katakolo for a wedding and I was very impressed as it truly exceeded my expectations in every way.
First of all, the view: The panoramic views from both the room and the hotel's common areas are amazing. It offers stunning vistas of the port and sea (both to the Katakolo port and Ionian).
Secondly, the room was nothing very stylishly designed with impeccable attention to detail, and featuring those same incredible views that make you want to spend extra time just taking it all in.
The breakfast exceeded what I was expecting! The outside bar area is a real highlight, offering that same spectacular elevated view of the port and sea. It's the perfect spot for a drink or a coffee.
Finally, the owner, whom I had the pleasure of meeting personally, and the entire staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout my stay.
I definitely recommend Hotel Orizontes to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're looking for a place to stay or just want to experience those incredible views, this hotel is definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Comfortable, clean and with very kind staff.
Small but comfortable hotel 5’ from the sea. Needed a means to get to the sea.
Placed on high ground dominates with an exceptional view. Great Service and in the evening terrace bar open to the public very nice.

Excellent in all respects.

It is the third time in two years and remains as excellent as the first.
Very clean the room and the bathroom as well as all the premises of the hotel.
Great view and quiet.
