Fantastic experience
Fantastic apartment, spotless, lovingly and tastefully decorated, Service from 10 and praise with the possibility of free transfer from the airport. Clear directions, TOP assistance! Marina is really good, attentive to everything! We arrived hungry and made us find fresh fruit, ice cream, croissants, biscuits, soft drinks... in short, for those looking for accommodation in the airport area is the perfect solution, with excellent value for money

Better Not to Book – No Flexibility in Emergencies
We booked one night at Luxury Home Spata in late June 2025 before our return flight to Germany. We were aware of the non-refundable cancellation policy – assuming a smooth ferry trip from Naxos to Piraeus.
Three days before arrival, Marina sent six WhatsApp messages within two hours, mostly about transfer options. While some info was useful, the volume was a bit overwhelming. The night before planned arrival, we were again offered a paid transfer. We declined and mentioned concerns about a possible ferry cancellation due to storms. Marina replied promptly, saying not to worry.
The next morning (29.06.25), all ferries were officially cancelled due to weather. Our travel plans collapsed. I immediately informed Marina and asked for a goodwill cancellation. No reply. Hours later, I followed up – she referred me to Booking.com. They understandingly reached out to her, but she declined. In the end, we got a €2 refund – for what, we don’t know.
Bottom line: Better book a place with a flexible cancellation policy – you never know what might happen.

Quite rare quality
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment there for 2 nights.
As agreed, transport (free on arrival) awaited us at the airport exit although our arrival was very late. After about fifteen minutes of driving, we were very cordially welcomed by Marina who showed us the apartment and took the time (despite this late hour) to answer our questions for the organization of our visits the next day
The apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated, with very complete equipment (including in the kitchen), good quality bedding (pillows perhaps a little hard and thick). In the fridge we were provided with a few bottles of drinks free of charge, as well as cakes, sweets and chocolate on a sideboard.
If we have to mention a negative point, it is the environment / landscape discovered the day after the balcony and which is not great!
(true) Full breakfast served in the morning from 8:30. Our granddaughter even got a little gift.
The city of Athens can be reached by metro in about 1/2 hour from the station where a "taxi" sent by Marina dropped us off.

Added stress when in business
This place is ok for a night or two stay. If you're going for longer watch for the staff snooping around your rooms. Under the cover of picking up the dishes from the morning's breakfast, they go into the bedrooms even if it's not a cleaning day. Every three days they clean (even if you tell them not to). That's when the robes will disappear without warning so don't put anything in the pockets. My open suitcase got moved and put upright with the zipper unzipped, so imagine if I had something valuable there, god forbid glass or jewelry. And they might take the liberty to hang your laundry as it was in our case which I find a major invasion of privacy. They also use very basic English and use a translator when communicating online. Therefore misunderstandings might occur. The property description on this page says it all. Also, every morning you get an early wake up call from the rooster across the street. Sometimes in the middle of the night. The pics were taken from the window.

Great place to stay near Athens airport
This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed at this property for 1 night prior to our return flight from Athens to the USA . Last year we booked 2 single apartments and this year 1 apartment with 2 bedrooms 2 bath . The apartments are very clean and modern and well appointed . The host Marina is quite helpful and responsive to all communications before and during your stay . An excellent choice if you are looking for a great place close to the airport.
