Time for a Coffe Break, try the square in Vamos and get a feel for local life

A beautiful working village between Chania and Reythmo. A great place for coffee enjoying the local life. Long live the locals and remember to be a polite tourist. Views of the white mountains and not far from the coast. Take the old road and enjoy the view.

So glad we stayed!

What a darling little village in an excellent location for all of our explorations. We loved our charming accommodations with a fully stocked kitchen and four comfortable beds. The pool area was lovely and our feline visitors were always welcome. Top notch service at the bakery next door to the office, too. (Ask for the gluten free brownie-best dessert I had in all of Greece!) We're so glad we stayed here!

Magical holiday

Our trip was beautiful - the accommodation and the view of the Cretan mountains are a dream and everyone in the village is incredibly kind and helpful! We were helped with everything questions totally great and we just felt super comfortable. Thanks :))

A great experience!

We have been visiting Vamos, Douliana and their surroundings for the third time in the last six years. The landscape, the villages, the beaches, the food and, of course, the people are absolutely amazing!
The Vamos Village Team is always so helpful and friendly; many thanks to Anatoli, Magda and Alex! Looking forward to our next visit.

Relaxed village life far away from mass tourism

I spent ten days with my daughter in the Yioklima House in Vamos. The beautiful building from the 1920s has been left in its original style and gently and charmingly restored. The house is very centrally located in the middle of the village of Vamos, right next to the adjacent local information center/tourist office, but is still quiet and idyllic. The very friendly and dedicated staff at the information center were always available to answer questions or concerns, provided us with individual tips for excursions and information about events in the surrounding area of the Apokoronas region and (together with the characterful Greek village cats) ensured that we felt welcome and in good hands right from the start.
