Cosy hotel with great staff
We stayed here for 1 week, 4/6/26 to 11/6/26 and found this hotel to be perfect for our needs. Maria (owner) and her family members + staff, run a very tight ship here. Everyone works so hard to make your stay a happy one. The whole hotel, is kept spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and well kept, decor + furniture, etc. Each room has a tv, but no tea making facilities, but that wasn’t an issue to us. The shower / toilet are really nice + modern. The beds were very comfy too. A safe + air con are provided too, but for a small fee, which is acceptable. The pool is a nice size, not too big, but not too small either, with ample sun beds for everyone. The bar is a little bit limited with bar snacks and variations of drinks, but none the less, what they have was good enough for us! The breakfast was of a continental theme, nothing hot, all cold buffet type, but it was always fresh, healthy, and adequate to start your day with. The hotel is literally dead opposite the beach so only a 2 minute walk, which was good. There are a whole host of shops + restaurants within a very short walk, making this hotel a perfect place to stay. We would return here without hesitation.

Fabulous
We stayed here for 21 nights. We were greeted by a lovely lady. Just before showed us to our room, she noticed my husband had walking difficulties (he is waiting to have bilateral knee replacements) She said she had allocated us a upgraded room as we were staying for 21 nights
But it was on 1st floor, she offered to change it to ground floor. We said no we would accept what we were allocated. Our room was wonderful! Gorgeous balcony, walk in shower. Comfy bed. Every single member of staff we encountered were lovely. Honestly, our standards are rather high, we're middle aged and want comfort and manners. Athena was all of that and more! If you visit and stay please feed the Gorgeous cats, relax around that gorgeous pool and eat their fabulous snacks. 11/10

Very good location
It was an outstanding hotel, nothing fancy that was nice and clean. Really good location, good bed breakfast was ok. Nothing nice but again it was kept neat and clean, one could get full.
The room is small, the bathroom was ok in size, the balcony was small and without privacy, no shielding for neighbors.

Definitely recommended
A lovely hotel in a great location, over the road from the pebble beach and a couple of beach bars, and a short pleasant walk to the harbour which has so many lovely restaurants. Kalimera bar was our favourite, Nikos looked after us so well. The sea can be a bit rough and not easy to get in and out but the hotel has a fantastic pool and bar with a good choice of snacks, cold wine and beer all served by a really friendly barman. Kokkari is very pretty and absolutely recommend it and Athena hotel

Fine hotel except for the room
Just back a week from the Athena hotel and whilst the hotel was fine, the room was not. No soap or shower gel an arrival after a long time travelling, Had to buy some in the local shop. The pool area was good and a very friendly service from the bar. Breakfast was adequate and serviced by a very charming girl. We were here for 11 days but afraid the room was not so good. We had no shelves or drawers just a very small wardrobe for hanging a few items, with everything else we had to keep in our open suitcase under the bed. Not ideal. On holiday it is nice to relax with a drink and a book on the terrace, but because the rooms were so close together it was possible to read the book of our next door neighbour, not that I did. We also had to listen to their conversations with their other neighbours next to them. Surely a small partition could be put up for bit of privacy. Apart from this, we did enjoy our time in Kokkari.
