Amazing cottage! Lovely hosts!

We stayed one night in this GEM — but wished we could have adjusted our travel to stay multiple nights! Incredibly beautiful setting. Hot tub by the river was 11/10 experience!! Super comfortable for a family traveling together. It’s our favorite place we’ve stayed in Iceland!!

Must try place!

Arrived an hour before closing on a Sunday — the selection was starting to dwindle, but it didn’t matter. Pancakes were being freshly made and served piping hot on plates, along with a delicious meat soup.
There were seven of us, and service was fast and smooth. All the staff were smiling, happy to see us, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work — it was lovely to witness.
The coffee, the cakes, the hot chocolate, the pancakes — everything was exceptionally good, and we will 100% be coming back.
A truly beautiful place, with thoughtful attention to many small details that often matter a lot to us customers.
With no hesitation 5 stars.

A wonderful place

This is a hidden gem in this area, it just takes a short drive on a gravel road and all of a sudden you find yourself in an oasis like no other.
The hosts are wonderful, the coffee and cakes even better and the environment peaceful and lovely. Would recommend this for anyone who wants something outside the crowded tourist traps.

All return guests

We decided to rebook again for late summer. We booked for a week this time . The other two cabins were also return guests that felt like us that they hadn’t booked for long enough the first time and wanted to return for a longer stay . Some days you’re just happy to stay at Dalasetur , go for a walk along the river, deep into the valley towards the glacier, there are lots of Icelandic horses and it’s just absolutely stunning views . We always went to the open air swimming pool every day in Hofsos . There is a little supermarket in Hofsos selling quality products. Hofsos is a lovely place to stay. We arrived on the last day of the Dalasetur cafe closing for the summer, so luckily got to try their cakes and coffee. The cabins are immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable we just had the best time . The drive thru the valley to Dalasetur is just incredible . There is a town about 20 minutes away which is a really scenic drive with restaurants that are open in the winter. There are direct flights now to Akureyri from Manchester November to end of March. Don’t miss staying here if you are coming to Northern Iceland it’s the best .

A dream

This accommodation is the absolute highlight of our trip to Iceland. The cottage is very modern and the kitchen has everything you need. The owners are super nice and the café also serves cakes and soups. And of course there is great coffee and other cold drinks. The complex is idyllically located on a river, where there is also one of the hot tubs with a heavenly view of the valley. What else can I say? Come and enjoy. It's perfect.
