Convenient and good value

This is a comfortable home-stay right in the center of Badami, a short tuktuk ride - or even a walk - to the temples site. My room had everything you need to be comfortable, including Wifi, functioning A/C and ceiling fan. It is not glamorous, the bathroom and shower are in need of an upgrade/renewal, but if you are looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and convenient in the center of town, it is ideal. The owner provides an excellent breakfast.

Comfy

Krishna Villa is a clean, no-frills homestay right in the heart of town. The meals are delicious and freshly made with the utmost care. Kuldeep and Sadanand work tirelessly to make this place what it is : homely, comfortable and very welcoming.

Decent Accommodation in Badami

We had stayed at this villa/homestay during our visit to Badami.
The stay was good. This is located near the central market. The important tourist attractions are at a walkable distance from this place. That is an advantage.
The room was big and clean. Basic amenities provided. Bathroom was clean. Hot water available. However, it looked as if it needs some renovation. There were many makeshift adjustments/fixes made in the bathroom. Staff is not local but very polite and helpful. There are some activities available like Carrom Board, books, exercise cycle which can keep one busy.
They prepare food as per order. Simple homely food and served hot. Breakfast was included. It's not a buffet breakfast but one simple dish + tea/coffee.
They have space for parking.
Overall, a decent stay at this villa.

Spacious and quiet hotel. Great food

Badami is a crazy country town, surrounded by magnificent cliffs with their famous cave temples and old forts, but it is a squalid, noisy and crowded place, and the Krishna Villa was a haven of peace and quiet just behind the central area. The staff are marvellous, courteous and quite knowledgeable and will arrange tours. They pride themselves in their kitchen and their meals were super delicious vegetarian home cooking. A great place to stay and to go and wonder at the ancient wonders that dot the local landscape

Solo Senior Citizen Tourist

My stay of July 2022 was very pleasant and full credit goes to the staff who dealt with me. Mr. Kuldeep, Manager, right from booking stage and till the end of my stay, gave me excellent support in many ways. As a frequent solo senior citizen traveler , such smiling support means a lot to me. Sadanand , the other staff and cook , I dealt with, was also very very nice. The food was really refreshing home type fresh. The premises always clean. Any small problem if reported, was promptly attended.
But yes, Badami town surroundings were a disappointment. The location though very convenient, the town municipality needs to do a lot of work to clean the town, move the roaming pigs, cover the open dirty smelling drains, make vendor proper arrangements. The beautiful cave temples of Badami deserve a better town. Badami cave temples, is a "MUST SEE". Tourists will increase if the town is made clean.
Krishna Villa, cannot be blamed for the town matters. The stay at Krishna Villa was very very good thanks to Mr Kuldeep, Sadanand and all who worked in background.
My limited dealings on phone with the MD was also very good.
