Our 24hrs in Cola has been my absolute fave part of the holiday so far. It’s got a really lush, tropical feel to it. Kyaking was a bit of a disappointment only 600 metres in and we’d run aground on rocks in the middle of the river but we made the most of our hour. We tied ourselves up and stopped for a masala chai ( the best I’ve tasted in this trip) and a coffee at Samyama Retreat. We had a warm welcome and the kindly proprietor Riven refused to let us pay telling us ‘he’ made a promise that the first customers of the day didn’t pay’ there are some truly beautiful people in the world. Get get there early it will make your day.

Samyama retreat
Had a lovely 3 day stay at Samyama resort. Cabins spacious and clean. Vipin and his team cannot be more helpful. Food excellent. Vipin treated us to a local dish for pur 30th wedding anniversary, so kind. Tea/coffee served on the balcony in the morning.. Short walk to Cola beach which is beautiful. The fresh water lagoon is great to dip your feet in to cool down after a day on the beach or sightseeing. Access to the resort can be difficult, cars are unable to access due to the rocky dirt track..our taxi dropped us off at wrong carpark and had to pay 500 rupees to local for a 6 min bumpy ride! The Samyama has a relaxed calm atmosphere surrounded by nature. Property is built on a hillside with lots stairs to access the various cabins so not for any individuals with mobility issues.

To make things easier, we offer pick-up and drop-off services through our taxi drivers at standard rates, ensuring guests don’t incur additional costs compared to hiring a taxi elsewhere in Goa.
Secondly, due to the natural geography of the area, there are stairs to navigate down to the rooms and restaurant. This too is mentioned in the property description. However, once you are at the resort, guests will find all the rooms conveniently located close to the restaurant, which is situated along the riverbank, minimizing the need for frequent use of the stairs.

Lunchtime visit
Hi , I’m visiting Agonda at the beginning of January, is it ok for 3 persons to come and have lunch? If so , is it a long walk any hills etc? Your place looks amazing and relaxing and has great reviews, we would really like to visit for lunch.
We are staying in the main high street in Agonda and would be visiting by taxi if it’s ok with yourself.

Incredible location , host , food , wi fi
Hard to put into words what a wonderful experience staying at this place is . If anyone is looking for a once in a life time experience at a unique jungle destination this is the place for you
. The quality of the food is the finest I have tasted in the whole of Goa .
If you like your food in a particular way just let the the host Vipin know and the chef will do his best to cater to your needs. On that note Vipin is an absolute flawless host , who caters for his guests every need. We were overwhelmed at the excellent hospitality and warmth provided by Vipin and it was clear to see he consistently provides the same level of service to each of his guests . Also it is very easy to find the place as Vipin can book a taxi with a firm who will drive his guests through the jungle right to the hotel reception !
11/10 on every front .
