A Quaint Stay With The Much Needed Respite From the Main Town
The property that provides a homely ambiance along with good food, clean rooms, hot water and a breathtaking view of the mountains where, on a clear day you will be able to see the Himalayas!! What hasn't been mentioned anywhere is the stellar view of the night sky one can enjoy from a small deck they have on the 1st floor. You can even count the stars on a clear night!!! And I am sure to share some of the picturesque snaps that I took of the place. George Everest house is a two km hike from Seegreen and you even get to head to on of the most haunted places in Asia - Lambi Dehar Mines where 50,000 labourers had died a painful death and you can still hear their screams in the night! If you are into birding, Benof Bird Santuary is around five km from the property. You can hire a bike for INR 800 and head there.
P.S. - The Seegreen Cafe serves the best pizza in the whole of Mussoorie! And I drolled over their pakoras and chilly cheese toast too. But do bear in mind, this is a slow cafe. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ambiance while you wait for the delectable eatables.

Overpriced and disappointing. Felt more like a strict hostel than a premium stay.
For the price they are charging, this place is absolutely not worth it.
No TVs as well, what's the high-almighty attitude of "connect with nature, so no tv", when you can't even relax later at night while watching the tv.
The rooms were infested with cockroaches, and they have a strict "no room service" policy. The café layout makes no sense either—while they serve you food, water is strictly self-serve from a center table, which is incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, the resident dogs barked the entire night, completely ruining our sleep. It felt like staying at a hostel with an exhausting number of rules. The only saving grace was the amazing views.

Warm hospitality, amazing staff and food—but poor experience with manager
We had a mostly wonderful stay here, but unfortunately one issue with the manager left a sour taste.
The property itself is charming, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff went above and beyond—especially in caring for my elderly grandmother, who stayed in the room alone. Their kindness and attentiveness were deeply appreciated. The owner was also incredibly helpful and accommodating—he allowed us to secure our reservation with a 25% down payment due to our concerns about sending large amounts via UPI without a proper booking guarantee. That gave us peace of mind.
Now the downside: the manager, Anish, was extremely rude from the start. He refused to provide a proper bill initially and insisted UPI was the only payment option. We were a group of four at first, and had booked accordingly. When a fifth member decided to join, they booked a separate room themselves. At that point, we should’ve only been charged for one extra person, but Anish charged me ₹1,000 extra for their room, even though we had made it explicitly clear that we wanted our payments and bills kept separate. We didn’t realize the mistake until after handing over cash—at which point they refused to refund me and instead asked us to collect the amount from the other party member. Anish was dismissive and unpleasant throughout the interaction.
Rooms were a bit below our expectations in terms of cleanliness, but the staff cleaned promptly and brought us fresh towels. A dehumidifier would have helped, as the room felt damp. Also, two electrical outlets burned out when using the heater provided, which made us hesitant to use it much after that.
We would absolutely consider coming back—the setting, food, and staff made it a memorable stay—but only if we didn’t have to deal with the same manager again.

Great for offbeat tourists
Nice property and great service. The views and surroundings are excellent. The cafe, service and the food quality is great. You can go for a walk or just sit and enjoy the views. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review on see green lodge hathi paon Mussourie
I stayed at the see green lodge in 17 and 18 Aug 22. The lodge is over rated. Location of the lodge is on a tri junction which is noisy and dirty due to plastic waste. It gives no scenic view what so ever. Free parking implies parking on the road side. Rooms are dingy, dirty with a peculiar stench. The linen provided is pathetic. The towels are displayed are way to old and can't be used. The property didn't have a generator power back up hence you can not have hot water. The staff is staying next to the the guest rooms making noise, using facilities meant for the guests and appalling to see the staff eating meals in the main cafe, brushing their teeth and watching videos in the presence of the guests. They are least helpful in terms of any assistance or Local information. The cafe and the rooms are full of flies and insects. The general cleanliness and behaviour of the staff needs lot of improvement. OVER ALL A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

hello guest. you chose aug 15/16/17. these dates witnessed crazy rush due to vengeance tourism after covid. we regret that you could not get to experience the serenity and peace of the place. hope you choose another date more wisely
