Will come again
We had a wonderful stay at Tullys. We came for a 40th birthday in Ballinlough. The staff were amazing, attentive & nothing was too much trouble. I noticed some bad reviews after I had booked so I was not expecting much. We were in a large double room and albeit a bit dated perhaps, it was comfortable with a lovely ensuite. We had drinks in the bar before the party & had breakfast the following day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and breakfast was perfect. Will stay again for sure!

A nightmare place to stay …
We stayed at Tullys as a large family group for one night as we were attending a family funeral. I never complain about anything but it was hands down the worst place we have ever stayed in . It is unsafe and I cannot understand how it’s allowed to open . At 9:30pm the fire alarm went off so we evacuated , there was nobody in charge , nobody to call and nobody could switch it off . One long term resident who was there contacted someone who came after about 15 minutes , at this stage the children and elderly people in our group were very distressed . In the end someone came but it took a long time to sort out as it turns some residents were smoking and that was causing the alarm to go off . This was only the start of it . Whst followed on was a night of no sleep . There was a group of residents staying in hotel who were drinking smoking and doing god knows What throughout the night . They continually banged on our doors and tried to get into our rooms it was terrifying . On one occasion one person burst into my parents room looking for drink . We all felt extremely unsafe , we went downstairs to complain or to try and get some help but there was nobody around there was no one in charge , everything was dark and locked up . We had no choice but to wait in our rooms till morning time terrified . I understand that a hotel cant know who books in until they arrive but there should be someone available in the hotel at all times . We stayed in a large room , the windows didnt open and the heating didnt switch off we asked could it be turned off but no one knew how to do that . But those few things were minor in comparison to the fear we felt staying in Tullys hotel . I imagine it is how people must feel in IPAS centres with all sorts of people living together but at least there if things go wrong there is someone in charge and hopefully families especially with small children can feel safe . Tullys is not safe , it made an upsetting trip even worse and I would not recommend anyone to stay there ever again . You would be better off and feel safer if you slept in your car . Avoid st all costs .

Avoid!!!
This hotel is extremely outdated and it needs a total renovation. There's a lingering smell as soon as you walk in the door. The online photos trick you into thinking it's nice, it's not.
I don't think Bord Fáilte should be recommending this hotel in my opinion. I actually don't think it should he called a hotel.

Horrible
Absolutely horrendous food was served in the bar near all the alcoholics ,The service Was ok food was cold,smelled strange would not wish this place on my worst enemy
