A hotel that lives up to its reputation, just like the place where it is located (Erice)

After a brief search, I decided to stay at this hotel, and I must say that I made a very wise choice :)
First of all for the location, on the main street, a few steps from the first gate of the village.
I was welcomed by Antonio, very well-prepared and very kind, who gave me many tips on excursions to take and pampered me as one should be.
I thank him for his time and for his manners; this is how a tourist truly feels welcomed ^^
The room was large and clean, I also had dinner, everything was delicious ^^ especially the pasta alla genovese (I hope I am not mistaken)
Breakfast was also rich and tasty

What a gem! You are literally staying in a mini castle in walking distance to all Erice has to offer. The staff were exceptional, the room wonderful and breakfast included!

Six Stars!

We stayed at the charming Hotel Elimo on a walking holiday in Mid-May. The hotel is right in the centre of Erice and is an ideal location to explore this amazing hilltop town. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, but a special mention must go to Antonio and Floriana, who were incredibly helpful as our luggage was lost on the outbound flight from London. Nothing was too much trouble, and Antonio went to great lengths to help us organise taxis so we could go shopping for clothes, etc. And for our onward journeys to the islands and back across to Scopello. Also, we arrived very late on the first night, and the restaurant staff were very gracious, considering the restaurant was clearly about to close. We enjoyed a lovely meal. So all in all, a highly recommended place to stay.

The place to stay in Erice.

Hotel Elimo is located in the main route through Erice and is a wonderful place to stay. We had a genuine and warm welcome from Antonio. The rooms are simple and in character with the location. However, they come with very comfortable bed and quality bedding; plus, revamped shower rooms and toilets. On checking in we were given a map of this mountain top village and useful tips of the best viewpoints. It’s very high-elevation provided panoramic vistas of the Egadi Islands and the Gulf of Trapani.
The hotel is a perfect location for this little corner of paradise. But one with a secret! The sea mists and clouds can combine to make Erice an eerie ghost town; one detached from the rest of the world! Located on the stone paved street the Elimo had all the hallmarks of being in a spooky Sherlock Holmes tale as the mist swirls through the streets. But when the sun shines (and it did) it was a magical place. The hotel is a wonderful base to enjoy the varied walks that loop the town’s hillsides. We were not prepared for what unfolded. A profusion of Sicilian Spring flowers in May, interspersed in the tall grasses.
We had a bed and breakfast deal and the dinning rooms comes with stunning views of the lowlands and the distant mountains. The breakfast is buffet style and delivers a fine array of cold meats, cheeses and of course Sicilian pastries. However, it lacks in the choice of fresh fruit. The evening restaurant uses the same location as breakfast and, sadly, lacks any real atmosphere and a rather limited menu. That said that is the only downside of this hotel. On the plus side is the unique and charming lounge area with its antiques, paintings and curiosities. A great place to chill with a glass of one of many local wines the hotel serves. It has a beautiful and warm atmosphere.
I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Elimo.

Central hotel, ideal for a walking holiday.

Hotel with a lot of character. The bed was very comfortable and situated on the main street. Good choice at breakfast.
