Unexpected pleasure

We came across this B&B by chance. It was a real find. Very friendly host. Lots of space. Very clean. Excellent kitchen facilities. Lovely public room to sit in during the evening. Very peaceful. Brilliant value for money.

Surprisingly good...

This B&B was easy to find because directions in town towards it are excellent. Once arrived there, we were given a very beautiful room, completely renovated and brand-new, away from the street. So we had two beautifully quiet nights. Rooms are nice and showers etc. are good and working. Everything here was spotless. Breakfast also very nice and plentiful. The owner is talkative and very helpful with information on many places in Sicily. Gioiosa Marea is a cute little town by the seaside, with good places to eat and just sit and watch people. We enjoyed it here and can only recommend this little jewel of B&B!

Good value seaside accommodation

Room was pretty basic, but clean and enough space. Air con and fridge in room were much appreciated, and the communal kitchens and terrace to cook and eat are good. There is a supermarket two minutes wy, and a hndful of bars and restaurants. If you arrive by train, arrange to be collected in advance. It is only a ten minute walk from the station, but
it is not easy to find if you don't know where you are going.
The town of Gioiosa Marea is a bit of a one horse town, but probably livlier in high season. It was a nice place to flop for a few days, going to the beach and having a stroll through the village. Basic Italian is useful, as there didn't seem to be much English spoken in the B&B or the town more generally.

GOOD VALUE FOR BUDGET TRAVELLER, FRIENDLY, LOTS OF COMMUNAL SPACE, FREE WIFI

We had a double room, stayed here as a cheaper option to Capa d'orlando as we had a car. Clean rooms, no frills, friendly staff with David (owner) speaking very good English and was very helpful. Would recommend to the budget traveller.

Nice, friendly, Affordable

We stayed at Mare Blu for 2 nights. The staff was very nice to wait for us late night even though we arrived very late. They didnt complain but welcomed us with great hospitality. The rooms are quite spacious. Very clean bathroom. But the breakfast just average. The location is safe. From Gioiosa Marea you can reach towns like Capo d Orlando and Oliveri.
