The room we stayed in was spacious and clean and very affordable.

Never again.

I stayed one night in this property, single room on the ground floor, dilapidated furnishings, just enough cleaning, very hot inside and a very noisy 70s air conditioner completed the frame of the room. At night I slept little because of the noises of cars coming continuously from the nearby road bridge and engines I think of other air conditioners placed nearby. Bathroom with shower "limestone" and glass door 30s to make the Addams envy.Also room price absolutely not in line with the level of the structure. Definitely not coming back!

Clean room, friendly host, far from town

My friend and I had a pleasant stay in this bed & breakfast - the host was very kind and helpful, the room was clean and our beds were comfortable. The host also provided a nice breakfast in the morning, with croissants, juice, coffee, and more. The only problem is that it's not within walking distance from the main part of Lucca, but a taxi was only about €13 from the train station. There is a bus stop across the street, which we took advantage of once, but the next day the bus didn't show up when it was supposed to so we had to take a taxi anyway.

We found this B&B very clean and comfortable, run by a friendly helpful couple. This place is ideal if you want to stay near Lucca. There are a couple of pizzerie nearby, within walking distance. The nearest one is tucked away behind the pharmacy on the main road a couple of hundred metres from the B&B towards the coast. It is very popular with the locals and serves both pizze and other food. Go there early or book if you can. We unfortunately did neither and ended up at Calogero's across the bridge instead but were not disappointed by the food.
All in all a very pleasant stay in Lucca, we would definitely stay again at Il Ponte.
A word of warning: if you have a large car you may not want to park in front of the B&B as the space is a little tight.

Basic Euro-hotel, fair price, pleasant hosts

Greeted by our very pleasant host and his mother, we were given a ground floor room opposite the reception. Very spacious, but with suspicious "sewer-like" odours entering the room. Not always, infrequently. Enough to become annoying. Breakfast was excellent and served off the reception counter and eaten at small tables outside the front door.
